I’m actually considering a Ford Mustang electric SUV.
They are going to have a financing deal where they promise to buy the car back at a specific price after 3 years. Since they are new to the electric car biz buyers get a $7,500 tax CREDIT the year it is bought. Since I have my own business I can write off the entire price in one year (thanks new tax law). For a $50K to $60K car my cost of ownership comes down to about $3K per year, most of which I will make up in gasoline savings.
Ditch it in 3 years and I don’t have to worry about the battery life.
Sounds like a great plan.
