He appears PRESIDENTIAL He appears COMPETENT He is working in a bi-partisan way to solve this with people who have been spewing venom towards him for 3 1/2 years He is smacking-down fake news media People are noticing And, Trump is informed, engaged, and gives sufficient reason for optimism.
Trump is not playing favorites with govt assistance, Mister Obama would not be so magnanimous.
Add to all this is that we get to know Mike Pence better, and he is showing himself to be capable and well-organized. (And, a good communicator.)
