Who told these states to put all their eggs in one basket? Have they never heard the word “diversify?”

Only in NY and NJ would the government have the gall to ask the rest of the taxpayers to bail them out.

If the Port Authority is seeing less income due to reduce traffic then they should rejoice since that is exactly what the stated policy goals of the Democrat politicians in the area are.

‘NO’ would be the right answer. Get it from your states.

of course they do- they are using this viral crisis as a means to shutter everyone in their homes so businesses will fail so that the state can then apply for “Emergency Federal Money” to alleviate the State’s financial Crisis

People like cuomo- praising Trump- are ONLY doing so in order to curry favor with Trump so they can ask for billions in ‘Disaster Relief Moneys”

As soon as they get it- they will once again begin attacking the President-

Let your democrat Governors pay for it.

THEY shut it down; and besides, the dems love the ChiComs more than their own country anyway, so...

Tough titties.

So I pay if I use the bridge.
Pay if I don’t use the bridge.

Bailout to fix it cause its falling down from overuse and neglect.
Bailout to cover expenses cause nobody is using it.

Is that about it?

NYS is $6.1 bil in the hole.

Send Albany any money, and I guarantee it won’t get where it’s supposed to.

Just a gentle hint to the other 49.

When my kids were young and we came to the gate to pay the toll, I’d tell them it was a “troll” booth.

There were lots of criminals and hoodlums in the big cities I said. To keep them from robbing citizens on the streets, they hired them to run Troll Booths and take money from citizens in a safer way. If you are familiar with the kids story of “Three Billy Goats Gruff” like our children were, it makes perfect sense.

Tolls on roads and bridges should only be used to repay the cost of the bridge and repairs to it. More than this is simply a tax on citizens and commerce. Let the Port Authority prove how they use every penny. Is the US going to attempt to reimburse every city and state governmental unit for loss of tax money? Hell No!!
