Have Democrats found an alternative to Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders for the party’s 2020 presidential nomination?
Some seem to think so: The hashtag #PresidentCuomo -- referring to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo -- was trending on social media Saturday as the party’s voters continued to mull who should take on President Trump in November.
Just a day earlier, the hashtag #WhereIsJoe was trending as some wondered why Biden's national profile seemed to shrink amid the crisis -- a situation Biden said he planned to address next week.
Cuomo has been appearing on television daily since the coronavirus crisis began – largely because his state leads the nation, with more than 12,000 confirmed cases of the virus, also known as COVID-19.

Yep, I think Cuomo will be it. If it doesn’t screw this situation up...which is always possible.

I thought you had to do the Primaries, though and collect the delegates. No? What about those states votes?

Unless you’re looking to oust a conservative, then you harvest the F’ out of them and get your friends, relatives (dead or alive) and all the illegals to get out the VOTE.

He’ll be just as much of a disappointment as anyone else in the Democrat field if nominated. That’s because Democrats and socialists and the politically correct are petty, never satisfied, very demanding, and in an overall sense, disappointments themselves.

Biden has nothing to offer the country but Socialism and Trump hatred.
Go on TV often enough and no matter how vapid, vile and dumb you may be, you develop an adoring fan base. Remember HL Mencken’s famous and perennially true observation. Nobody but nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people. Hopefully the majority has the ability to recognize Cuomo for the core fool that he is.

Political parties are private organizations and can do anything they want....the GOP included.
Biden is going to win the nomination unless he dies between now and the end of the Democrat’s process. I would say Cuomo might be his VP pick but the Dems probably already have NY in the bag, and Biden has already pledged to pick a woman. Of course them being Dems and as nutty as they are, Cuomo might be able to self identify as female and qualify.
He’s good at pressers and he whipped Cynthia Nixon’s ass. An actress. Other than that, he’s a weird-looking guy (his nickname is Evil Eyes) and he’s as corrupt as they come. (Look into his HUD days.) Plus, NY State is in terrible shape. And nobody wants Sandra Lee in the White House preparing dinner.
But, I admit, on paper, he’s better than Biden or Bernie.
How about this Cuomo line:
“Who are they? Right to life, pro-assault weapons, anti-gay — if that’s who they are, they have no place in the state of New York because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”
I don’t know enough about his decision-making past to measure that. We know the media will run cover and carry his water, but the debate stage is where any really crappy history will come out, which Trump is a master at.
I like to think Trump’s handling of COVID is viewed positively by the majority of the public, thus guaranteeing reelection. People are fickle and have short memories, but they’re not going to forget this before it’s time to pull the lever.
He is as likeable as Bloomberg in the heartland.
