Trump Hints He's Giving '15 Days' Before Stronger Action [Trump Eyes Altering Coronavirus Response to Save Economy]

President Donald Trump hinted in a tweet late Sunday night that his administration is considering reassessing its coronavirus regulations restricting people going to work.

"We cannot let the cure be worse than the problem itself," Trump wrote in all capital letters. “At the end of the 15 day period, we will make a decision as to which way we want to go!”

Vice President Mike Pence also signaled a change in tone when he said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is going to issue guidance permitting those exposed to the coronavirus to go back to work earlier by wearing a mask for a certain period of time, Axios reported.

The remarks by Trump and Pence appear to indicate that the administration is searching for ways in which to get people back to work so that the economy can be stabilized as unemployment shoots up and the stock market tumbles.

The proper move by our President.

Congress needs to doo the same thing. Wait for the 15-day evaluation.

Well, it makes sense. Take 15 day to slow the spread, and build a medical infrastructure, then... let ‘er rip. We can’t shut down indefinitely, and the Dems will try to block any long term relief he tries to enact. So he has to fight not only the new corona disease but the old liberal disease.

Sounds good. I am high risk and smart enough to stay home while people go back to work. OK, my Sis’ family will deliver food into my car and I will retrieve it. I am the luckiest gal ever!!!!.

Hope it all works out for everyone! Prayers up to all. Stay safe, stay healthy!

Let America get back to work and fu*k the Democrats. I will never be convinced they didn’t have a hand in all of this and are in league with the ChiComs.

Democrats are blocking Senate Bill S.3548, The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, or the CARES Act. House Speaker Pelosi is instructing Senator Schumer not to support any relief bill unless it includes: cancellation of college student debt, union protections, tax subsidies for windmills/solar, and new airline emission standards.

98% of the people in Hong Kong where a mask when they go out now. Most of the 2% are Western expats. What are the odds we could get even half of Americans to do that(assuming we had enough masks).

"We cannot let the cure be worse than the problem itself," Trump wrote in all capital letters.

You already crossed that bridge last week.

Focus the quarantines and the lockdowns on the most vulnerable, not the least vulnerable and most productive. And stop local officials from acting like little dictators who lock down people who least need and want it.

It crosses my mind that when we have some 2,000 deaths in one day next weekend people may lose their appetite to return to work. Which would be a shame because if someone they trusted had let them know in advance they would have the confidence to do so.

The Executive branches on State and Federal Level are playing an excellent “good cop/bad cop” routine.

POTUS will not order a “national lockdown” = Good Cop.

Governors order statewide lockdowns = Bad Cops.

POTUS will find “alternatives” for back to work = Good Cop.

DJT is the hero and the State Governors are ZEROS.

“98% of the people in Hong Kong where a mask when they go out now. Most of the 2% are Western expats. What are the odds we could get even half of Americans to do that(assuming we had enough masks).”

If they want to keep their jobs, they’ll wear the mask.

A lot will hinge on how well the malaria drug works. Early indications are encouraging. If that can hold down the death count than the massive overrun of our hospitals won’t occur and we can start breaking this problem down into its components.

Yes, most excellent news.

It shows cautious optimism about the measures taken so far, particularly the hydroxychloroquine / azithromycin treatment and the declining death rates.

Not out of the woods yet but...

Patience...

Once this is all finished, let’s be sure to restock a strategic supply of ppe, unlike someone failed to do after the H1N1 epidemic.

Oh, one other thing too. New tagline.

States and cities will make their own rules, and the general public will be too stupid to know who made them, and blame Trump.

” because if someone they trusted had let them know in advance they would have the confidence to do so.”

Correct. The overly rosy predictions have damaged credibility.

The nonsensical, insane, economy killing response to the manufactured coronavirus hysteria needs to STOP now. You can't destroy an economy because of some disease which has affected far fewer people than the common flu (which affects up to 60 million Americans every year, without anyone shutting anything own). This is the text book definition of mass hysteria.

Tell you what, Covid-19 will come back as Covid-20, and Covid-21, any year the “Deep State” wants to take down the United States and every other country with it...

If we would just be allowed to work we wouldn’t need this “relief.”
