Bernie Sanders Will Participate in April Dem. Debate, Refuses to Drop Out of Presidential Race

Senator Bernie Sanders’s (I., Vt.) presidential campaign on Tuesday announced that Sanders would participate in an April debate with former vice president Joe Biden, if it is held.

The Democratic National Committee had planned to hold a debate on an unspecified date in April, but the committee has not yet announced a site or broadcaster for the debate.

“Senator Sanders is still running for president,” Mike Casca, communications director for the Sanders campaign, told the New York Times. “If there is a debate in April, he plans to be there.”

Sanders has refused to drop out of the presidential race despite Biden’s delegate lead of 1,214-910. The Sanders campaign suffered successive defeats to Biden beginning on Super Tuesday, and the former vice president has ridden a wave of support from moderates and older voters to take the delegate-rich states of Michigan and Florida, winning Texas by a slimmer margin.

Hang in there, Bernie! Campaign to the bitter end and get as many delegates in that convention hall as possible to raise a ruckus.

If Bernie has any balls; he would call out Biden on his sheer stupidity, criminality, pervertedness.
But Bernie doesn’t. He will attack Trump and make it a who hates Trump the most show; then get paid off again.

If Biden drops out for health reasons, I guess Bernie would have the most delegates then.

COVID-19 appears to have killed Joe Biden’s Presidential Campaign.

That the old commie bastard has one more chance to preach his poison to the youth? I believe his prominence is responsible for the rise of socialists like AOC and those other ones.

Bernie probably can’t reach a 1st ballot nomination with the remaining delegates out there. But he can deny Joe Biden a 1st ballot nomination. If THAT happens, then neither gets it. The DNC will go into brokered convention mode and all bets are off.

yes, but so could Bernie. And as the guy in 2nd he has to campaign harder. Bernie is more vulnerable to COVID-19 in theory. Biden is in bunker-mode.

Bernie did the same thing when he was Hillary’s sparring partner 4 years ago. Hillary was such a weak candidate in the primaries that she almost lost to her own tomato can. Had Bernie wanted to (or had the instincts) he could have KO’ed Hillary at several points with all her scandals floating around in the News.

Same thing here. Joe Biden is presenting serious mental deficiencies. The media is studiously ignoring it, but the public is taking not. If Bernie were to make a debate issue of it, the Media could not longer ignore it.

But he won’t. I think Bernie’s job is to deny Joe the delegates needed to get the nomination on the 1st ballot so the DNC can select the nominee (read Nancy Pelosi’s pick). Bernie gets his place on Martha’s Vinyard and Joe gets to go to Shady Meadows to await the Reaper.

Predicting future is hard, but at least by 538’s models Biden has over 99% chance of getting a majority.

I think at least the part where Comrade Sanders will no longer be on TV is a blessing. He is poisoning the minds of impressionable youth.
