Will Californians let coronavirus kill their grandparents to please Wall Street? Hell no
Sacramento Bee ^ | March 24 2020 | Gil Duran

Posted on 03/24/2020 9:32:04 PM PDT by rintintin

Would you risk the lives of your parents, grandparents or friends to boost Wall Street profits during the coronavirus pandemic?

There’s only one correct answer: “Hell no!”

Yet President Donald Trump is now floating the idea of letting COVID-19 kill more Americans in an effort to boost the stock market. Against the advice of experts like Dr. Tony Fauci, Trump and an extreme group of Wall Street figures are publicly suggesting that we should scale back our efforts to contain COVID-19.

They believe a spike in the coronavirus infection curve is better than a drop in the Dow Jones. This vile proposal – which could result in the deaths of millions of Americans, many of them elderly – should outrage every one of us.

Not this crap again. Grandma is vulnerable to the virus so it makes sense to make sure she is isolated. If she is in a care home it is imperative they follow very strict procedures for people entering the facility.

But John Smith opening up his auto repair shop is not going to put grandma at risk. You know what does? Grandma going to that essential pharmacy to get her prescription refilled. It also would be a good idea to just say no to any kind of public transportation. Air travel is out too.

That's the same lame argument Andrew Coomo made earlier today.

Gov. Nuisance didn't give a damn when the Oroville Dam almost collapsed a few years ago. It took a local county Sheriff to call for an evacuation. So spare me the righteous indignation.

Sounds like former Colorado governor Dick Lamm.

The President said the elderly and others at risk would be isolated.

This editorial is the Sacramento Bee-Ess at its Commie worst.

Apparently Texas Lt. Gov Dan Patrick. Or at least that’s what the liberals are saying. They get more insane by the minute.

Funny watching them all become pro-life.

But seriously. All this fulminating about putting a dollar value on a human life. This would be news to injury and malpractice lawyers, hospitals, people who need a rare drug or a transplant. Oh, and all this human life is worth any price.... I guess there are no homeless in California because they all got a new apartment built for them for free. And it comes with free food. New mothers are given a brand new top-quality baby seat for cars. And California must also have a huge warehouse completely stuffed with ventilators for this day, just in case.
I mean, it’s only money?

Trying to be realistic here.

The epidemics will be most serious in large cities: New York now, more before long.

Trump cannot stop the quarantine (aka shutdown) himself, it is imposed by the local authorities.

Those that are controlled by the Democrats are not likely to comply, crashing economy is a winning election strategy.

Now, a question: can you think of any local officials in large population centers that will obey Trump's wishes?

We know what’s going to happen if we relax the controls prematurely, and the deaths skyrocket.
Another lockdown.
The political pressure will be unbearable.

And I notice Gil Duran still has a job and a paycheck. And he’s talking down to the people that don’t.

This is a deep state talking point:

“Trump will sacrifice lives for the stock market”

It’s everywhere.

Gil didn’t think of this on his own, but was honored to have been chosen to have his name attributed to the hit piece.
