I am a fan of this drug combo, but even I am not going to go so far as to say that it has been used in tens of thousands of patients.
A few hundreds maybe, but tens of thousands?

There has been a lot of use of hydroxychloroquine alone or with other drugs overseas.
Do a little, just a wee bit of digging. South Korea has been using HCQ and zinc since its first case appeared. Yes, tens of thousands have been CURED of this virus using the HCQ and Zpak and or zinc supplementation regimen.
Scum Democrats want to suppress this cure as long as possible so they can destroy the economy.

I would agree with you. It’s probably tens of thousands so far worldwide, and soon will be in the U.S.
If that letter from Dr. Zelenko of Monroe NY is accurate (and I’m assuming most here have seen it already), then the FDA should reconsider their compassionate use recommendation and instead move it to a first line of defense. I’m not so sure it’s even all that effective once a patient has progressed to the point where he’ll die without a different mode of treatment. By then he’s usually already on a ventilator and it might not be effective by that point.
Besides, it looks like it could even have value as a prophylactic, something we would learn quickly if it is approved for use sooner than it is now.

Death is due to ARDS, usually and the related effects thereof. The hydroxychloroquine will not repair the alveoli nor will it actually kill circulating virus; the body’s immune system is tasked with that assault. Strengthening the immune system and using prophylactic measures is the way to win the war on viruses.
