As Andrew Cuomo ascends during coronavirus pandemic, Joe Biden fades
The Chicago Tribune ^ | March 27, 2020 | John Kass

Cuomo is on national television daily, giving his coronavirus briefings, presenting as a man of action and sympathy, fighting for his city and state that are being overwhelmed by the virus. He looks like a president.

And old Joe? Biden, the expected Democratic presidential nominee, remains lost, hapless, eclipsed and marginalized by events.

Biden has all but disappeared, like the time you were at the supermarket with your elderly uncle, and he wandered off, again. Frantic, you searched all the aisles until you finally found him asking the lady giving out samples for another taste of banana pudding.

“Biden is a melting ice cube,” wrote New York Democrat and antitrust litigator Lloyd Constantine on his blog, in a quote now widely circulated. “Those of us who have closely watched as time ravaged the once sharp or even brilliant minds of loved ones and colleagues, recognize what is happening to the good soldier Joe.”

Two weeks ago, Democrats were insisting he wasn’t as feeble as he seems, that he was not suffering from a lack of mental acuity, that Biden was the strong leader who would win the White House for Democrats and hand them the awesome imperial power over our lives.

But things are different now. Biden fades, and Cuomo is ascendant.

The media will take care of the idol worship even though the arrogant brother of fredo, Cuomo will, blame trump and step on his di##. That’s what the left and the media does well. They even got the noble peace prize to be given to Obama for doing nothing but being black. This is a piece of cake

Yes, the NYT too, and CNN and the rest of the leftist media.

I recall a few years back when Rush remarked that the DNC being a collection of misfits, how they really stuck together when Republicans were always infighting.

With the entrance of the very hard left, that is no longer true. Now both parties now have a problem. The DNC’s misfits fighting the hard left. The GOP’s Never Trumpers fighting the MAGA’s.

And during the era Rush talked of back then, the MSM was pretty much believed by most, at least enough to sway an election. That is no longer the case. Only the most useless of useful idiots believe the likes of CNN & the NYT now.

Would Cuomo resign being governor of NY if he gets selected the nominee? Then if he loses in November he’s SOL. I remember those days when some were calling for his daddy Governor Mario to jump into the race but he never did. I’m betting Andy boy is a chip off the old block. Being the King of NYS is his ceiling or sealant.

I wouldn’t fear Cuomo at all. Politicians from New York make for awful presidential candidates. Since FDR, the national political landscape is littered with New York politicians with failed national campaigns.

If Donald Trump had run in 2016 as the sitting governor of New York or mayor of NYC, he would have lost.

Andrew “nobody needs 10 bullets to kill a deer” Cuomo is a petty tyrant with delusions of being president.

Bernie has not given up. His impassioned speech in the Senate where he spoke against the Republicans fight to keep low income workers from possibly getting more than their usual pay for up to four months was very emotionally persuasive, especially to his constituents. While Republicans are correct that this could be a disincentive for these low income workers to go back to work, the Republicans were wrong to press it so hard. In the overall almost 2 TRILLION (who can even think in these amounts?) dollar bill, the extra money that the 10 and 12 dollar an hour workers will get is very small.

Perhaps Republican Senators were more concerned about how important these workers are to getting the economy rolling again (why go to work when you can get more just sitting home?) than the money but they sound uncaring about low income workers. It made a perfect opening to energize Bernie and his supporters. It will be hard for the Dems to dump both Biden and Bernie

Biden is committed to a female VP. If he picked Cuomo, he could actually have a shot at winning.

Yep, and getting tired of him blaming the federal govt and the president for his and deblasio’s shortcomings in being prepared. The networks are giving him tons of airtime everyday for a reason. should be an interesting dem convention.

He's a very dangerous, extremely political sh*tweasel.

He's so bad that he disgusted the Kennedy clan.

Married to Kerry Kennedy (daughter of Robert F. Kennedy) [1990-2005].

“Chicago Tribune. Now we know the fix is in.”

John Kass is not a Democrat; if anything, he is a pro-life libertarian.

Biden has women accusing him of sexual abuse. Wonder if that will gain traction in the liberal media?

Didn’t he dump his most recent, highly visible girlfriend just after she was diagnosed with breast cancer? A food commenter on New York TV? Not a good look. I suspect that his negatives are pretty serious, despite the fact that Big Media is canonizing him right now.

It may if the dems are looking to replace him with Cuomo. I don’t think they know what to do.
