Bernie has not given up. His impassioned speech in the Senate where he spoke against the Republicans fight to keep low income workers from possibly getting more than their usual pay for up to four months was very emotionally persuasive, especially to his constituents.

I didn't hear the speech, but I don't doubt that he scored points with his constituents. But a speech that appeals to his followers isn't going to get him the nomination from the powers that be in the party.

My only point was that the Democratic Party was desperate to stop Bernie's momentum, and Biden was the man who filled that role. Now that it's becoming clear that Slow Joe isn't up to the job, they have to find someone else. But you'll see that everyone who comes up for discussion is someone other than Bernie Sanders.

For sure the party leaders do not want Bernie. His continuing to fight until the end will, hopefully, lead to his supporters staying home in November. That will be good for Republicans down ballot.
