As I posted before, POTUS should declare the briefings Public Service Announcements since this is an official National Emergency. He can force them to cover the briefings if he renames them PSAs.

In Bangor, Maine, the CBS local affiliate does not cover the president’s news conferences. Their local yokel news, which airs at 5 PM, 6 PM, 10 PM, 11PM, 5 AM the next morning, 6 AM the next morning, and 12 noon the next day, with mostly the same stories, is more important.

The local FOX affiliate carries the pressers, and it’s a feed from ABC News.
