Not the complete story.
Hubei ended their quarantine and people from Hubei want to go to work. Many job are located across the river in Jiangxi, but Jiangxi is still closed.
In order to keep Hubei resident from coming, Jiangxi police erected barrier in Hubei. Police from both provinces got into a fight. Workers got pissed.
So Hubei residents and Hubei police attacked the Jianxi police, burned police cars and destroyed the barrier.
We’re going to see the exact problem in US. Imagine NJ is open and NY isn’t. NJ’er want to go to work and NY government won’t let them in.
Fun time ahead.
Curious where you are from. Dont sound like a native English speaker. No disrespect, just wondering if you might have relatives there, you seem to have insight into the situation.
More light being shined on the internal conflicts in the country, and the CCP itself that Xi prioritized. His next move should be even more brutal repression, but what happens when the apparat in Hubei pushes back?
Could get bloody fast.
I don’t think that the NJ cops and the NYPD are going to be setting up competing roadblocks on the Lincoln tunnel though. Different situation.
Remind me again exactly in NYC and NJ where they welded apartment doors shut?
I'd love to see that. It would be a fusster cluck that I'd enjoy watching. Maybe some politicians and Sheriffs will be handed their walking papers. Talk about draining the Swamp.
#10. I like your scenario, New Jersey versus New York/City.
That means NJ Mafia and hardcore Marxist Democrats (like their wackjob governor and congresspeople) versus NYC’s communist mayor and Marxist-oriented City Council, and/or Cuomo’s semi-fascist state.
This scenario, if it happens, will drive Political Scientists crazy yet give them work for the next 5 years trying to figure out what happened.
I’ll take New Jersey thugs over NY City reds for $1,000, Alex.
Other than ghost cabbies that don't speak English who want to get their Newark-Midtown $100 fleecing going again, I don't see it. At all. Ever.
More like NJ turning back the zombies at the end of the Holland Tunnel.
Texas already announced that anyone flying into DFW from New York, New Jersey, CT, and New Orleans would be quarantined for 14 days.
This evening I heard long public programs featuring the governors of NY and NJ one after the other. They both spoke of needing to strengthen social distancing, and stay at home policies. NY and NJ have several bistate organizations which should make coordinating more likely. The New York Port Authority, and the New York Port Council (of labor unions) are two of those organizations.
