You will need a bunch of the machines. 5 minutes to a result means probably ten minutes per test cycle. Thats 50 tests in an eight hour shift. Maybe 150-200 tests a day.
You are gonna need as many of these as you do vents. (All other tests using the machines will continue along, like normal.)
You can see a picture in this article:
It can take 15 minutes for negative results and only 5 for positive results.
As long as these tests are RELIABLE, we are ok.
Need to see sensitivity and specificity rates, or tests are worthless.
But it would be a DREAM to have this. If all of us could test frequently, it would put this to rest.
Pray hard for something like this to emerge.
Leftists will push for tests but suppress known cures... Fauxi is one of them
Absolutely! Cannot be emphasized enough.
Folks,
I have to wonder about these tests.
We can do a test for E coli. But it is a test for ALL E.coli. Some e coli are ok and some are not but because it MIGHT be that bad one all, so we have to take action regarding the MIGHT BE.
Is this test for ALL corona virus or just the specific covid virus. It takes quite a deep test to test for a specific virus. We are talking about just a minute genetic differences.
I know the lying media doesn’t care to get it right, but..........................
Here’s a description from Abbott.
Note the last paragraph. About the only problem I see is that it would have to be wiped down after each test if it can be used that way. No one is saying it can do more than one test before another machine is needed. And, if it can, how many tests can it do before it has to be serviced/calibrated, and who’s going to do that. On their first flight, even the Wright Brothers flew only 852 feet. Baby steps here possibly.

My wife’s a nurse, they had someone showing symptoms Tuesday, she was sent home because she had an allergic reaction to the face mask. The COVID test still shows in process. You have to start treating them immediately, otherwise it is too late by the time you get the tests back, IMO.
Are these test instruments going to be useful for testing of future viral infections, or are they going into the dumpster after the Panic-demic® is over?
How many of the communist RAT governors will ban and outlaw this as well? /s
Hey if you can, I can too!

If 1) it’s accuracy is proven.; 2) Every patron was tested prior to seating.
It would also allow places to triage and isolate more effectively as well as test front line workers to ensure they are not infective or isolating over a benign condition.
Stop telling us what’s coming and tell us when you have it available.
Me, I will only go if the restaurant takes precautions I mentioned.
Democrats devastated WuFlu crisis could end.
Capitalism! :)
