Despite President Donald Trump's enthusiasm for the drug hydroxychloroquine to treat coronavirus, the federal funding powerhouse led by Dr. Anthony Fauci isn't spending any money on it, and clinical trials for it are lagging behind other drug studies, according to a CNN investigation.
At a White House briefing last week, Trump said hydroxychloroquine, which is used to treat malaria, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis, shows "tremendous promise" of working against coronavirus as well.
"I think it's going to be great," he said. "We're quickly studying this drug."

There have been numerous studies on the drug with amazing results. What ever happened to all the drugs sent to NYC? Are they too on a warehouse? I don’t like the smell of this...something is not right.

A month ago Fauci was telling the nation to sneeze into their sleeve and to get a flu shot. Now he want to put a potentially life-saving medication into a clinical trial before allowing Wuhan virus patients the right to try it. He really needs to go.
Any US doctor can prescribe any FDA approved drug for good reason.
It’s called off-label prescribing.

I support your feelings about CNN, but don’t know for sure, they are on the wrong side, on this issue.
This seems to be, hypothetically, CNN possibly taking a small stand, speaking up on this.
Most of the time, they are totally brain-dead.

Why isn’t CNNMSNBCCBSABCFOXCNBCBLOOMBERG not going after Michigan’s, California’s, Nevada’s governors for making it illegal to prescribe such? Hmmmm?
I do not believe that is the case, in several locations.

What you don’t seem to understand is that a specific test for this virus is NOT necessary. These are drugs that have already been tested and are in use by doctors
A doctor is allowed to prescribe off label. That doesn’t require special tests

Would love someone to ask Fauci the following “ Dr. Fauci. If you personally were to develop fever, cough and shortness of breath, would you begin taking Hydrochloroquine and Zithromax?” The truth is the minute he spiker a fever , he would begin those medications.
The rats will do anything to make POTUS look bad, as we approach the GE, including let people suffer and die needlessly.
I keep wondering if Fauci has financial interest in one of the new expensive on patent drugs he seems to hold out the most hope for. It seems almost as if he doesnt want the Hydro/Zpac thing to work.
Someone is using it because people with Lupus and Rheumatoid arthritis are complaining about shortages. Or maybe someone is hoarding it waiting to make a windfall?
Florida’s governor has no legal right to say I can’t put a plastic pink flamingo on my front lawn.
He needs the Florida Legislature to pass a bill first.
