We’ve been had and Trump knows it
American Thinker ^ | March 28, 2020 | Geoffrey P. Hunt

While President Trump closed the US border against entry from China at the end of January, his overall instinct was right. The CCP virus was nasty, but no worse than a supercharged flu.

Health professionals overwhelmed Trump and his inner circle with doomsday scenarios, bullied by panic obsessed virologists and epidemiologists -- begging for attention and copying the alarmist playbook from the climate/global warming extremists, allied with the MSM Trump-haters.

And now the government has completely suffocated economic demand, creating a depression, an unnecessary calamity that is destroying lives, livelihoods, families, and fortunes for a generation. It is becoming apparent that the end-of-the-world predictions, computer models warning of an apocalyptic black plague worldwide, are all wrong.

Those paying attention were warned that the worse-case scenarios were hysterical, by the likes of Stanford epidemiologist John P.A. Ioannidis.

In dramatic fashion UK Imperial College scientist Neil Ferguson published a doomsday scenario on March 16. Now just ten days later, he has reversed his outlook, essentially settling on a prediction no worse than a bad flu season.

Most telling, the two US public health icons, Drs Fauci and Birx, are both saying the extreme models that provoked extreme measures, bear little resemblance to the actual data on the ground. From the New England Journal of Medicine March 26 co-authored by Fauci :

“Neil Fergusson owes the US government $2.2 Trillion.”

...
And China owes us three trillion. Which is convenient because that’s the debt we have to them. So hopefully President Trump will refuse to pay that. Finally in editorialist who agrees with me that this was done on purpose and overblown on purpose what do you want to go getting President Trump out of the way so they can implement or globalist dream.

Trump always said this is not as bad as it seems, but had he not acted, 15 to 20 deaths would have occurred as in the SARs epidemic.

So do a few dozen people on here who spread the crap non stop.

Even up until yesterday and I’m sure they will continue with their stupid comment “but it’s only the flu”, said with idiotic sarcasm.

They should be mocked at every turn.

Co-conspirators in the great fraud.

Birx is trying to make an honest broker out of Fauci.

My guess is that if we took a peak....he has pharm money in every cupboard.

Listening to Fauci, I'd say he's having a hard time with his balancing act....and is doing what he is told...but not sure by whom.

Perhaps Trump had no other option than to go with the flow when this crisis unfolded. But he is not usually a slave to consensus. He was elected because he is a contrarian.

President Trump is NOT a contrarian. He was elected because he seemed like one by demonstrating simple common sense while running against a political system that has been dominated by a bucket full of assholes.

More than anyone realizes, Donald Trump has always been one to put his finger to the wind and see where sentiments lie before going out on a limb publicly. If he thought an overwhelming majority of Americans were happy with the idea of eating horse crap for lunch, he’d be up there on national television telling everyone how great/incredible/wonderful/fantastic it is.

So, we’re going to counter the virologist’s doomsday scenario with our own doomsday scenario. I stopped reading after two sentences. Trump knows this is not a good situation but once you’ve shut everything down, you have to find a way through it. I’m optimistic this will clear up by the end of summer and our economy will emerge weakened but not fatally so.

If they were, then there would be a run on rope supplies.

“but no worse than a supercharged flu.”
That is killing 4.67% of the people who get a confirmed case of it world-wide.

Trump is a problem solver. He works toward results.

I have not seen ANYTHING that would get me to agree with your statement.

The U.S. Government was under no obligation to listen to him. Same goes for Micheal Mann.

Yep - and all those who bought into the full panic mode helped insure we are where we are - teetering on recession with a potential depression peeking around the corner...

Funny how a bit of perceived personal risk changes the folks from FReedom loving Constitutionalists to those begging for slavery...if we had the same mix during the Revolution, WWI or WWII, our nation wouldn't exist.

I just hope Event 201 is not release right after this. I do not see any way of stopping them unless President Trump calls them out overtly beforehand. That would take any meds act of courage and looking like a paranoid president.

This is a virus that has never previously infected humans and it’s likely that almost no one has immunity, or antibodies to protect them against this virus.

So the medical advisers recommended that the President execute the National Pandemic Strategy. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/pandemic-resources/national-strategy/index.html

Whether this outbreak is a small brush fire, or a full-on cataclysm is yet to be seen.

As it is actually just starting to hit.

We are in the Community Mitigation phase. Which happens after the virus has gotten into the population. And puts us on the “up” slope of the curve.

So, this thing may whimper and be nothing. Or this bug might just kick our ass.

Personally, I prefer that we err on the side of caution.

WRONG WRONG WRONG

FAKE NEWS ALERT

“From the New England Journal of Medicine March 26 co-authored by Fauci:”

WRONG Fauci’s article was published February 28 when there were only a handful of cases in the US. His more recent comments say it is ten times worse.

If anything, Fauci displays the opposite of wht this article is claiming. He originally thought it wouldn’t be much worse than a flu but now believes it is much worse.
