Death totals seem low today, pending the later updates from NY.

Forgoing a last minute big addition of new cases and new deaths, it looks like today’s new cases and deaths are going to be less than yesterday’s numbers. This will only be one day and coming on a weekend a trend has not been established. But its good news for today.

Louisiana has 5 times the number of deaths as Texas even though Texas has 6 times the population.

Louisiana - 151 deaths

Texas - only 32 deaths

Interesting data today for the US. New deaths yesterday were 525. Today, so far it is 255. New deaths in NY dropped from 277 to 82. Delay in reporting?

The best data come from The COVID Tracking Project It is a gold mine of information. You can really dig down into the state data.

What was done to this country has been unforgivable YET people will just forget just like they forgot 9/11!! The people on this site that have jumped right on the doom and gloom bandwagon better start praying that Trump wins in November because he is the only person on the planet that can fix this devastation!! My heart is beyond broken realizing this was even possible, the absolute hysteria, fear, BS, the American people just bent over and let this happen lives destroyed BECAUSE orange man bad!!

Spot on, but it is not going to end well because of the evil people and all they have caused. They trashed the markets and the economy in attempt to win. They have succeeded with the damage, but not the ultimate goal yet.

This isn’t NY but outside an ER in LA.

I’m rooting for everyone to get their vit D levels up, take vitamin B&C, and increase A, C and D at first sign of viral infection. No need for drastic measures.

I do not believe the coronavirus death numbers.

Laughable. Mardi Gras will be a disaster for them. They haven’t even seen the curve start to rise yet IMO

Tennessee is showing remarkable numbers, statistically. I’d like to see numbers by county and then overlay it with 2016 election results. Expecting an R factor (not R0) of over 80 percent. Those who listen and understand and follow vs. those with TDS.

What the evil ones get about with hate rants is that it drives casual readers away from this site and other similar sites. See Zerohedge.com for this effect on steroids.

There are about 7,500 deaths per day in these united states. 363 attributed to coronavirus. So, around 5% of all deaths. One week ago, the number was 113, or around 1.5%. If the daily death number triples 7 days from now, we get 1089 of 8226 (have to raise the denominator) or 13.2%. Beyond that, behavioral changes and hydroxychloroquine make predictions unreliable.

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/
as of 3pm EDT 30 March 2020:
united states cases 28 March: 123,578
united states cases 29 March: 143,491
united states cases 30 March 3pm): 155,969

Daily rate of increase = (143,491 / 123, 578) - 1 = 16.1%
united states cases 22 March: 33,592
Weekly rate of increase = (143,491 / 33,592) - 1 = 327.2%
Next week’s weekly number will be between 230% and 330%, and probably at the low end of that, so:
5 April (projected) 143,491 * (230% + 1) = 473,520

California cases per population = 0.016%
California deaths per population = 0.00033%
Louisiana cases per population = 0.087%
Louisiana deaths per population = 0.00398%
united states cases per population = 0.048%
united states death per population = 0.00087%

Danny, Danny, Danny, you must be young or very sheltered. There are so many things in life that no one can control. We do the best we can for others as well as ourselves, we hang on to our family and our faith, find joy in the small things, and we die. Those left behind remark that it was a life well lived, and it was.

With an attitude like that you can’t control anything.

That’s “the best we can”? Just give up. Take whatever comes without a fight?

You sure you’re from TX?
