"Millennials are born somewhere between early 80’s and 2000. I think this generation is Gen Z. Tend to be more competitive rather than inclusive."

So we're really dealing with "Generation Zombies"?

I am totally onboard with what this parent did, and I am one of those who thinks COVID is overblown.

Be prudent for each context to the extent you can or are willing to go.

And who’s going to pay for his housing after June if he can’t go back to the parents’ house ??

Could it be he would have to get a job at a time when so many are out of work ?

The kid is pretty careless considering his grandparents live in that house.

Dad is so smart.

He’s also not by himself; the parents of the other Spring Breakers have apparently decided the Spring Breakers need to stay away from their families as well.

Smart parents.

“It’s hard.”
_______________

Good parenting was never designed to be easy.

Good parenting by its very nature means sometimes you’re on the top of the hill, alone.

“I hope the son isn’t as horrible to his parents when they are old and need him as they are to him now.”

HE’S the one who went to spring break and rubber their faces in it with a bunch of party photos of him in the crowd. Maybe the little jackass will learn how important his grandparents are to his dad.

Thinking it is a bit overblown is one thing. Going to spring break on the beach and all that goes with it it another.

He’s way too thoughtful, buying the kid groceries.
Come on man, how much did Spring Break and plane tix cost?
Did you pay for his food and booze when he was down there partying?

The kid had the SIP (selfish immature prick) virus and his dad just found the cure!

You do realize that this CHILD was in a group of people where he was probably exposed to a virus that could be LETHAL to not only his mom and dad but especially so to grandma and grandpa.

He obviously doesn’t CARE ABOUT HIS PARENTS OR GRANDPARENTS HEALTH right now, WHY DO YOU THINK HE WOULD LATER IN LIFE?

He is nothing but a despicable, thoughtless little shit who obviously only cares about his own pleasure and comfort.

If he was my kid and pulled this kind of crap he would be living under an overpass on the I-5 freeway!

Common sense. A wise Father, a stupid son.

His lease ends in June!

Oh, the horror!

He'll have to have Dad write another check in 2 or 3 months and rent the same apartment for another term or find a place in a town of empty rentals or live in his room at home.

How will he survive?

“His grandparents live here and there is no need to expose them to god knows what he had been exposed to,” Peter explained.

Good for Dad! If you’re young and healthy the risk is low, but we still need to protect our most vulnerable. Dad made the right call which too many parents have trouble doing these days.

The son will be fine. He can easily find a job stocking shelves or shopping/delivering groceries to the homebound.

Good job Dad!

Taking care of the grandparents who this callous grandson doesn’t seem to care about

Kid made a choice. Dad made a choice. Both exercised free will. Because you are a flu bro does not make Dad wrong. I see the kid as a hedonist with no concern for the impact of his actions on the people that brought him into this world. As a matter of fact, it is none of our friggin business. That, and you are tempting fate. Karma is a B-—h.

I was born in ‘83, and although I’m technically a millennial, I choose to associate with the “xennial” crowd. Most of the stuff millennials are criticized for is the fault of the latter years of the millennial generation, and Gen Z. Many of us born in the 80s do not fit the profile at all.

"WHY DO YOU THINK HE WOULD LATER IN LIFE?"

Because people change as they age.

A college kid's brain isn't even physically mature.

This kid might learn from his Dad's actions.

He is Son of the Year

Junior will be fine in his apartment. Grandma and Grandpa will be fine at home. Everybody lives. That is what you call a win.

Junior should not want to go home. If he whines about it, he is a putz. Might want to extend that apartment lease.
