As the not-a-doctor should know, you can test negative one day and positive the next, but morons gotta moron...
Exactly.
Medium is a vanity publishing blog.
He is a psychologist. Not a virologist or even an MD. He has a masters. No doubt he is good at his profession, but his opinion on this is only slightly more valid than someone with an MFA.
I would suggest everyone take this is a huge grain of salt.
If virus particles are inhaled into my lungs or upper sinuses, swabbing my mouth shortly afterward won’t tell the testers that I’m an infected person.
False negatives.
False positives.
Logistics of delivering tests to 326 M people.
Vast country, geographically.
Test kits availability.
Number of people administering tests.
Number of people reading/evaluating test results.
Percentage of people not obeying self-isolation rules.
Conclusion:
Testing everybody: not feasible
None of that is going to happen, and I think the economy is going to suffer, along with a whole bunch of people, for quite some time.
Millions and Millions of quick test AND...
Millions and Millions of Hydroxychloroquine, Azithromycin and zinc sulfate dosages.
Some say 50% of all who have the virus may be totally asymptomatic - and otherwise healthy. And then there may be a high percentage of carriers......
So, lock these people up.......for the rest of their lives?????
Right........
A lot of people who think they are smart - aren’t.
A young, strapping Dr. Anthony Fauci in all his circa 1980s glory is seen on page 5 of the Koop flyer linked in this article.
BWAHAHAHAHA. Matter of weeks to test 320,000,000 people?! NBWAHAHAHAHAH. What an idiot. And then what’s happening during those weeks even if you could do? Those first people who tested negative could be exposed 5 minutes after you sample them. Now they’re positive, but you show em as negative, oopsie.
Anybody who’s plan revolves around testing everyone might as well demand the sun rise in the west.
Well thats cute. There arent enough tests to test everyone
These so called experts have predicted all sorts of nonsense. Testing everyone does not tell you the answer
I wish theyd get their heads out of the behinds. They are drilling researchers. They get paid because they make things sound way worse than they are
Anyone who has tested positive and is running a fever should receive medication. Waiting for gasping may be too late. Get these contagious folks taken care of. It should be easy to figure out when they’re no longer contagious.
This is a virus.
Nearly everyone will get it.
~80% will have a flu-like symptoms for days.
~10% will get it a bit worse
~5% will get it bad
some will die.
That is Nature. We are part of Nature.
We can limit it a bit. Treat it a bit. Cut it back a bit.
But it’s new (Novel), so until the Herd is Immune, it’s here. Wash your hands. Have a Cocktail. Make a will.
We will all be called when HE chooses us, and there is nothing you can do about that.
Live your life, or lock yourself in a hovel.
Me and mine? Cocktails on the poop deck!
Has anyone thought of taking a handful of Chinese test kits to test their accuracy against a live victim with symptoms, live victim w/out symptoms, and survivor of course of illness?
Other countries are reporting false readings. Why should our country be an exception?
And if it keeps up, by the end of May we will see over 2 billion (with a "b") deaths, in the United States alone! That translates to over 40 billion (again, with a "b") in the entire world.
Oh, NO!
