China's ports and shipping firms are bracing for a second wave of supply chain disruptions that may be deeper and more prolonged than during the country's coronavirus lockdown as the global spread of the virus chokes off international demand.

But you felt the need to comment on what your intuition told you about the article?
It is about the ports and how they are starting to get back on their feet, but that a lack of buyers is impacting the cargo coming out.
Don’t the Red Chinese cargo container ships all return to Red China riding high in the water?
You tricked everyone!
You usually post about the virus. ;)
Dear Chiner,
Don’t need your crap, don’t want your crap.
Well get back to you on your CCP-19 virus soon enough.
I wonder how many citizens were murdered by their government?
I have reliable 2nd hand information that in Wuhan, when an apartment building had an outbreak of the virus, Chinese police/military would just weld the door and windows shut and put an armed guard out front.
It’s not so cut-and-dry as you post.
1) You can delay being infected so that recoveries free hospital resources for you, in case you need them.
2) You can delay being infected until drugs like the HCQ are available which might save you from death.
3) You might never become infected, at all. Not good odds, but I would expect possible. This would be the “herd immunity” stopping the disease from reaching you.
I sincerely hope once this mess is calmed down a bit, as I don’t think we’ll be rid of it completely, that China’s ports are really closed because we’ve pulled our manufacturing back to the USA.
I’d think a simple tracking of out bound shipping from SE China would be a good indicator.
They were cash poor due to the tariffs prior to the virus. They need to “sell” and ship to raise cash.
Beware of the wounded tiger.
I’m not clicking through to NY Times.
Verify they are not saying it is a second wave of virus hitting China.
“as Virus Spreads”
implication is 2nd wave of virus.
you redacted a several thousand word article down to 50. you do know you can use up to 300 words.
2nd round of “effects”.
2 months of economic shutdown in America is also going to have ripple effects regardless if the virus ends globally tomorrow.
Thankfully, I have not spotted any welders in my neighborhood.
I wonder if Rush would say it’s time to panic yet?
The second “hit” is the drop off of shipping because the world isn’t buying Chinese products...the first “hit” in terms of context was the drop in manufacturing because of the disease in China....now that they are making stuff, there is no one who will buy their stuff. That is the second “fit” that this article is referring to.
“Until there is either a herd immunity or a vaccine, thats just how it is.”
The only other thing that will ease the problem is antiviral drugs like hydroxycholoquine or similar immunosuppressants.
From what I understand, most of the deaths that are occurring are not directly from the virus itself but from the response of our immune system to the virus. It goes crazy and start attacking not only the virus but normal cells as well, which lead to death. Kind of like an autoimmune response. They call it a cytokine storm.
By appropriately suppressing the immune system, you can keep it from destroying the good cells while still allowing it to develop antibodies that take care of the virus. After a while (a week or two) you can stop the immunosuppressant and you will be immune to the virus because you will have developed an immunity against it.
In other words the live virus itself will have acted like a vaccine, while the antiviral drugs protected you from your raging immune system.
It's one of the reasons they kicked out certain U.S. journalists. They only kept the ones they knew would tow their propaganda line...like CNN. It was CNN who decided not to report on the known atrocities of Saddam Hussein, so they could keep their Baghdad office. More than likely, they're operating the same way in China.
[Its not up and running at all. Propaganda spoon-fed by their MSM lackeys.]

Just take the loss.
