Sometime in June 2001, while browsing the Wall Street Journal, I stumbled upon an item on an inside page all the way at the bottom. It was no more than 75 words in a box. It covered a CIA security announcement concerning an increase in internet and cell phone traffic among suspected terrorists from suspect areas in the Arab world. I canceled a Fourth of July trip downtown because of it.
I assumed that if an attack was coming, it would be on America's premium self-celebratory holiday, the Fourth of July.
When nothing happened, I took off my tinfoil hat, ascribing my worries to my suspicion of Islam suspicions I had carefully curated from prior events such as the first World Trade Center attack, the Cole, the embassy bombings, and the killing of Americans soldiers in the 1983 bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut.
It has become accepted knowledge that America's intelligence agencies missed 9/11 warning signs but that's not entirely true. Signs were seen, but they impelled no action. We were so convinced that the fall of the Soviet Union as the end of history precluded any need for urgency. Yet, even if there had been, no one, at that point, knew how to react.
I don't think I need to remind everyone of what happened on 09/11/2001.
I share this vignette as a means of showing that there are always signs. We, for whatever reason, miss them, or we ignore them for political purposes, or we refuse to believe them because they contradict the core tenets of our belief system.

“Demographics.
they need to move men out of their country in order to maintain power and control”
Yes Tin Foil time.. But..
WHAT IF.. The Wuhan virus is a multi pronged weapon?
It’s primary goal was to wipe out China’s oldest and infirm First?
then to paralyze the world.
It’s not as if the Chinese are against killing off millions of their own people. Getting rid of high cost dependents could be seen as a “cost saving” measure and a virus provides complete deniability.
Yes.
Many Freepers in 1998 were saying that the Clinton/Loral/Hughes scandal would come back to bite us in 20 years.
>> Signs were seen, but they impelled no action.
Thats because the Mistriss of Disaster, Jamie Gorelick, had placed a wall of separation between the CIA and the FBI.

The ChiComs would have to have sea force projection they don’t have. And you can bet,the US Navy has an attack sub pretty close to almost every ship the ChiComs have in their fleet. Those would be the first to become marine habitats in a hot war.
...
I can only hope that all of our password encryption programs, our source code, is so locked down since Obama left office and i hope that has all been fixed and all the people who were in charge of that are no longer employed. That’s the stuff that concerns me.
They absolutely did. We are at war with china, whether we admit it or not. Regardless of whether the china virus was an escapee from a biolab or bat juice, the actions the chinese took immediately after it was out in the wild were those of a hostile nation wielding it as a bioweapon. Xi even boasted that America would drown in a sea of coronavirus. I mean, how much more of a hint does one need?
We are at war. With china. Kill them all.
But that's what we've got!
“Id like to thank Bill Clinton and his buddies at Loral for making it all possible.”
Spot on.
“If China starts a war with us, I think the public might support a serious military effort.”
No, not at all. We have a serious third-column faction right here in our own DC government, not to mention throughout the country.
I have said in the past that the vast majority of those in their 20s and 30s would look up from their phones, say, “meh,” and go back to texting.
And then, there is our propagandized media. The MSM is anything but investigative journalism. They are shills for the left and cheerleaders for any faction that is essentially anti-American.
Look at who approves of the CCP. Bill Gates admires their system, among others in the elite. Youth in America born after 1990 did not learn about communism nor of its effects.
If China attacks would we launch an all out nuclear attack?
good warm up
The Chinese play the long game.
It would be far easier and cheaper for them to BUY the next president and a substantial quantity of congress critters ( I am sure they own a LOT already). Then bring back Obama type military “reforms” slash their budgets, moth ball ships/ Planes and tanks.
Then completely demoralize the armed forces with Diversity, Inclusion, ridiculous policing deployments without goals or resolutions. Get the motivated fighting people to quit and promote angry gender studies PHDs to the leadership, Pentagon and JCOS positions.
THEN attack.
Interesting article.......Should such attack occur against the U.S. and the U.S. subsequently stops the export of all the foodstuffs China gets from us, followed by the deportation of all Chinese nationals in this country, then what do they do?
If China conquered us; where would they get technology to steal? Who would pay their slave labor wages?
You spelled, hanging from a gibbet wrong, didn't you?
China is Asshoe.
Glad to hear it from the outside!
China is utterly, totally dependent on exports to keep their people working and out of desperation/starvation/revolution mode. Starting a war that would immediately end their ability to export would be very foolish on their part. They’d lose that on the Homefront in a very short period of time.
Maybe the USA is playing checkers, the Russians playing chess, and China continues to play Go ( Wei Chi). Old ASA viewpoint.
Dont forget to thank John Huang too.
They have already taken out one of our aircraft carriers with the virus. They can use the same technique on every other ship in the fleet.
