It’s hard to know how America would react to that. In recent decades, we have been reluctant to “fight to win”. If we fight a war (let’s say in the Middle East) and the body count gets up to about 3000, then it’s a quagmire and we decide we need to bring everybody home.

But China has poked the bear. A lot of Americans are unhappy with China. They stole our intellectual property, they’ve wrecked our economy, and they killed grandma.

If China starts a war with us, I think the public might support a serious military effort. And if China tried to launch missiles against our mainland, hopefully we could shoot the missiles down. But we might actually hit them back. Talking nukes here. And maybe the world won’t condemn us.

Overall, I think this would be a foolish path for China and I’m hoping they decide against it.

No, not at all. We have a serious third-column faction right here in our own DC government, not to mention throughout the country.

I have said in the past that the vast majority of those in their 20s and 30s would look up from their phones, say, “meh,” and go back to texting.

And then, there is our propagandized media. The MSM is anything but investigative journalism. They are shills for the left and cheerleaders for any faction that is essentially anti-American.

Look at who approves of the CCP. Bill Gates admires their system, among others in the elite. Youth in America born after 1990 did not learn about communism nor of its effects.

If China attacks would we launch an all out nuclear attack?

China is utterly, totally dependent on exports to keep their people working and out of desperation/starvation/revolution mode. Starting a war that would immediately end their ability to export would be very foolish on their part. They’d lose that on the Homefront in a very short period of time.

Lots of hush hush on this report. The Pentagon was quick to label this an airliner, but folks that witnessed it said it was unlike any airliner vapor trail.

Geopolitical events at the time Obama took office would fit in line with China testing the resolve or sending a message to our newly elected government, sensing weakness (as always) within the democrat leadership.

This is/was my take on this mysterious vapor trail streaking from the horizon off the West coast of liberal-fornia.

For the reasons you state — and for ones you do not state, such as the fact that there are weapons in our inventory that the civilian populace are unaware of — China will not fight us. Give them 20 years, they might. But not yet.
