I detest Cuomo as much as anyone. He is everything you have suggested and more.
The NY governor is surprisingly underpaid in relation to others in NY state who are his direct reports. Many in the bureaucracy earn 2X what they are proposing paying the governor. Many are in the “Authorities” like the Thruway, and others.
Honestly, Cuomo is far worse than his father for stupid. But consider what things could be like if David Patterson or Eliot Spitzer were still governor. I shudder at the thought of those possibilities.
