Larry David, the "Saturday Night Live" actor who often plays Sen. Bernie Sanders in skits, said the Vermont independent should drop out of the presidential race and throw his support behind his opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden.
“I feel he should drop out,” David told the New York Times in an interview published Saturday. “Because he’s too far behind. He can’t get the nomination. And I think, you know, it’s no time to fool around here. Everybody’s got to support Biden.”
After a series of rough primaries, Sanders has ended up more than 300 pledged delegates behind Biden, and has called his path to the nomination “a very steep road.”
Sanders has signaled he will press on in the Democratic race, while offering his own proposals as Congress weighs new legislation to address the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.
"We are assessing our campaign, as a matter of fact, where we want to go forward. But people in a democracy do have a right to vote," he maintained in an interview earlier this week.

Interesting. I remember watching the episode of “Finding Your Roots” with Larry David when he discovered Bernie Sanders was, in fact, a distant cousin.
Get rid of the blacks and mulattos, then the gays, then the women and what are you left with? The white men! One last thing to do - get rid of that Jew. Ahh, the party of diversity! Then it will be great and Biden can sweep to victory over Trump, the fascist warmonger!
So that makes both Trump and Sanders he wants to drop out, leaving the Demented One unopposed. These ppl are freaks.
I hope Sanders will keep campaigning until Aug. 19, at least, unless Biden gets enough delegates before that. That will cause the Democrats to keep arguing during the convention or longer.
Crime syndicates offer you a choice: cooperate and get silver or do not cooperate and get some lead. The Mexican drug cartels do that a lot.
