Interesting Point,,,
Exactly. This country is too sue happy. Someone dies or is injured, next day there is a lawsuit. Damn lawyers.
Oh yeah, every other commercial on TV is for some personal injury, social security, workman’s comp, or bankruptcy lawyer.
Lawyers got Porsche payments to make too, ya know...
There’s a lawyer around here who was driving a then new Mercedes-AMG with a personalized tag that said “LAWYER”. Haven’t seen the arrogant prick in a while so he maybe driving something different now.
Some of these guys have a lot of connections.
Here in Indiana, when the quarantine was announced by the governor, golf courses were included for shutdown.
One of the “king of torts” types is a member at the most elite golf club. He made a call and two hours later golf was OK.
My SIL was very happy because he manages a course (not the one mentioned above).
It’s even difficult going for retired folks, like myself. It’s far worse for my adult children and grandchildren — so, I completely empathize. This state of lockdown cannot be allowed to last longer than necessary. It’s a short-term solution at best. Medium and long term, we all depend on having a functioning economy. I believe that most people in my demographic are prepared to endure longer isolation, to see the economy return. If we aren’t able to endure the isolation; then we know the risks, and the outcome is on us.
However, watching the Task Force videos would provide you with much better information than you’re getting from the legacy media or social media. You would be getting the information before it goes through the media spin-cycle and comes out all twisted and wrinkled beyond recognition.
Even if you chose to ignore Fauci and Brix; and the various Admirals, Generals and CEOs that have made appearances, you would be able to see how hard Trump is pushing to get things back to some semblance of normalcy. I shudder to think of how this would be playing out, with just about anyone else in charge.
Swell, I need to go get a test this week, having no symptoms, as do my loved ones out where I’m going.
And I’m going from a Hot Spot to a place of minimal infection.
I don’t need any reassurances, I need a few tests with results in 24 hours.
Pretty simple, but so complex still.
DC talking heads can talk all they want. Boots on the ground need action.
This case is a bullshit case. The families only see a wealthy company and the chance of getting money to ease their grief.
Those petty claims, 500 per day, would wear down most businesses but the healthy, wealthy business should kick those claims to the curb easily. Still, the result is the cost of the attorneys is included in the price we pay for the merchandise.
