On Tuesday morning, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) announced the happy news that he has recovered from the coronavirus. He's not resting on his laurels, however. The senator decided to jump right back into work, getting his hands dirty but not in the Senate.
"I appreciate all the best wishes I have received. I have been retested and I am negative," Paul tweeted. "I have started volunteering at a local hospital to assist those in my community who are in need of medical help, including Coronavirus patients. Together we will overcome this!"
Paul is not just a senator he's also an ophthalmologist, an eye doctor. While he does not have any expertise when it comes to fighting viruses, he can put his medical training to good use by volunteering at a time when America's hospitals are overwhelmed by coronavirus patients.
The Senate will need him again soon, but Rand Paul's decision to jump into the fray on the medical front is to be commended. The real battle against the virus is taking place in the hospital, not the U.S. Capitol.

I wonder what he thinks about the theft of our civil rights?
Watch out, reports of recovered COVID-19 patients with low or undetectable antibody levels are coming out of China, along with “reinfection”
I want to know who gets hospitalized and why? Rand Paul was one who tested positive as have others - ie Cuomo, Hanks and his wife, etc. They were quarantined but not hospitalized. I don’t understand. I haven’t heard it explained. All I hear are the media sob stories that bombard us all day every day. AND the rules - don’t forget the rules.
How on earth do people quarantine themselves away from another family member (a spouse) when they are both elderly? You just can’t go in a room, shut the door, not come out and expect your sick spouse to take care of himself and yourself. Talk is so easy...
Nasty Nancy could probably empty and clean bedpans.
This is a huge report out of the University of Fudan, and so far it’s being hushed up.
Good for Ron Paul, a highly decent man who votes 100% to uphold the Constitution against enemies foreign and DOMESTIC!
I hope he doesnt get infected by Fauci-ism.

Because they have no symptoms. Would you go to the hospital if you know you have the disease but have no symptoms?
“”Because they have no symptoms. Would you go to the hospital if you know you have the disease but have no symptoms?””
I don’t think being admitted to a hospital is that easy, is it? My original question stands - who gets hospitalized and why?
They know they have the disease? How?
Got tested? How? Why?
What were their symptoms?
I’ve seen a bit of Cuomo being interviewed or INTERVIEWING but I can’t stand it for long so I have no idea how this came about for him but does he or anyone else know?
All I’ve heard him talking about is looking forward to, having the opportunity to getting his blood tested for antibodies and coming out of this a HERO so he can help other people!
RE: Because they have no symptoms. Would you go to the hospital if you know you have the disease but have no symptoms?
Heck, Ted Cruz quarantined himself for simply being exposed to someone who had Covid-19 at CPAC.
Certainly Rand Paul is an honorable man! I wish we had more like him. His wife must be very proud of his actions.
All the talk is great but it sure lacks details. That’s why people are losing patience with it all. Quarantine just isn’t possible in a lot of cases but I guess we can’t expect all the bases to be covered as it’s certain they won’t be. I could get out and shop even tho’ I’m in a risk category - now that’s been taken away. I’m sure I’m not the only one in this box.
A small house, two elderly people, one may/may not have symptoms - close them off in another room - one already with a chronic illness unable to care for themselves - the one in quarantine is on their own - the person who already has a chronic illness has no one to care for him/her - no relatives to help out - neighbors/friends are all elderly and facing the same problem - that’s when the wagons come out to haul away the bodies? It’s all so helpful, isn’t it?
Maybe THIS is helpful - maybe not - I think it’s all a guessing game.
