DENVER (CBS4) – A Denver family physician has been prescribing a controversial medication to his patients, sick with coronavirus, and believes it is yielding positive results. Dr. Constantine Tsamasfyros, who has been a primary care doctor in Denver for nearly 50 years, told CBS4 Investigator Brian Maass he has prescribed a combination of hydroxychloroquine (also known as Plaquenil) and an antibiotic called azithromycin to about a dozen patients over the last few weeks.
“They all did well. They seemed to reverse their symptoms in a day or two,” said Tsamasfyros, who said he “absolutely” believed the medication was working.
“If they’re drowning, you either pull them out of the water or at least throw them a rope to come out,” he said while explaining his decision to prescribe the medication.

We’re getting too many stories like this from actual treating physicians for it to be anecdotal at this point.

In NY I dont think everyone is getting it. Its VERY hard to get a prescription for the drug and they are basically classifying ANY death as being from coronavirus, so you can get a heart attack, die, get tested and its positive and bam, its coronavirus..also, it depends when you start treatment, if you start too late odds are the meds wont work, gotta start as soon as you have any symptoms

What are you trying to say here? Are ALL these cases of HCQ helping patients suspect because people in NYC are dying? The positive reports for this drug are coming in from all over the world and you are insinuating they may not be correct because there are no reports of this nature from NYC?
Can you come up with any reason Cuomo would not want to announce positive results from the use of the Trump recommended medication?

Some people think throwing them a vaccination will do the trick. Hope they can tread water long enough.
IF they did have the drugs and died anyway it would be non stop "See it doesn't work because Trump was wrong" from the media.
People are always dying in New York City.
Remember, anyone who tests positive for Covid-19, and dies, is considered a Covid-19 death.
So, if you are 89 years old, with a bad heart, and lung cancer, and you test positive for Covid-19, and you die, the death is attributed to Covid-19.
Score another one for President Trump.
I might point out as well that these stories of Lupus patients being unable to find prescribed drugs are pretty anecdotal themselves. In any case the answer isn't to deny the drug to patients who might be helped, it's to make more of it. Which is what they're trying to do.
How many anecdotal evidences does it take to reach a consensus. Liberals believe in consensuses.
What it tells me is that (1) lefty politicians know they have an effective treatment for themselves so they feel personally safe so (2) they can grandstand about that same treatment to make political points, even going so far as denying it to others (they'll still use it, you can bet on that) to advance the narrative. They are scum.
