I read a figure of 80,000 deaths in 2017-2018.
This news will deeply upset the Mammon-worshipping sows collecting monthly annuities checks from their dead husband’s accounts.
That’s the figure I heard recited yesterday. I don’t know if it’s higher or lower today.
I don't think there could have been much hidden infection prior to the sudden appearance.
The man who started the outbreak in Washington state was pretty easily identified. That would seem to indicate that there weren't a lot of earlier cases.
The hot spots all have connections with travelers. New York supposedly had thousands or tens of thousands of people returning from China due to Chinese New Years celebrations. Florida had spring break. New Orleans had Mardi Gras. Each of these locations seemed as if they were "seeded" by thousands of carriers and the opposite of social distancing.
The talking heads on TV don’t seem to have a problem with getting hair cuts.
