The Numbers Perhaps the most telling numbers are those that show the vast majority who have died suffered underlying illnesses or conditions: 4,732 out of 5,489 of the deceased, or 86.2 percent.
For instance, of those victims 80 to 89 years old, 836 had high blood pressure, 488 had diabetes, and 227 had coronary artery disease. Another 157 suffered kidney disease, 148 had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, 136 had cancer, and 132 had congestive heart failure.
Those figures are similar in the 60-69 age cohort: 572 had high blood pressure and 444 had diabetes, while 133 suffered with kidney disease and 119 with coronary artery disease. Another 88 had cancer and 46 had congestive heart failure.
As well, 61 percent of those who have died were men. Statewide, 62 percent were white, 18 percent were black, 14 percent were Hispanic, and four percent were Asian. In the city, the numbers are 34 percent Hispanic, 28 percent Black, 27 percent White, and seven percent Asian.
A significant number of deaths have occurred in New York City, and Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties. The hardest-hit areas of the city are the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan.

Makes sense and not surprising. whats the source if the statistics?
My doctor says the definition of a “well man” is someone who “hasn’t been worked up properly.”
not like we didn’t have a clue what’s going on:

Just hmm.
Yes, this is why African-Americans are doing so poorly, they have a much higher rate of diabetes and high blood pressure.
The evidence has been piling up for weeks. This morning is when I officially stopped caring at all about this virus.
But more than ever I’m concerned about the economic collapse it has forced.
The doctor is sharp.
I haven’t cared much since this circus started.
It’s reassuring in a sad way how many morons are in this country and running things.
We’ve been had. And we folded like a cheap suit.
Im concerned about the economic collapse it has forced.
The best is yet to come, hold on tight, it is likely going to pretty bumpy in another month or so.
That was the end that was justified by the means of using the Wuhan Flu to panic everyone.
Dr. Birx said that our number mirror Italy’s numbers.
Which was a back-door way of confirming this.
No surprise.
6 in 10 adults have a chronic disease.

They also said a certain percentage died at home. How many people die at home who are normally healthy? I suspect the home deaths were already hospice patients with a terminal disease.
None of this will be new anywhere. The same underlying illnesses: cardiac, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, etc. will show as dire for people in all the areas hardest hit by the ChiCom Virus.
The little bastard goes for the easy pickings. If they perfect this thing, the next wave will look more like the Spanish Flu pandemic taking out millions.
Would they have died this year but for being infected with the Chinese Virus?
836 had high blood pressure, 488 had diabetes,,,,
Not very helpful info. Were people treating these conditions but they died anyway?
Also big differences in the degree of severity. Some people might be taking a diuretic for HBP, others might be on 5 meds. Some people might be taking metformin once daily for diabetes, others might be shooting up vials of insulin.
Stories like these are designed more to frighten than inform.
“86% of New Yorkers Who Died With Chinese Virus Had Other Illnesses, Conditions”
Same probably for half of the people who died on 9/11 (obesity, diabetes, hypertension, etc.)
So, people with high blood pressure seem to be most at risk.. it will be a long time before I’m mingling again!
