California Governor Gavin Newsom said Tuesday he is working on a plan with the state legislature to provide economic relief for California residents who are in the country illegally.
Californians care deeply about undocumented residents in this state, Newsom said.
About 2 million people in California are likely residing in the country illegally, according to the California Latino Legislative Caucus, which has asked the governor to provide cash assistance to those without citizenship status, since they are not eligible for the stimulus checks and other benefits provided in the $2 trillion coronavirus stimulus bill passed by Congress.

In California the Public employee unions and the illegal alien lobby run the state.
Aided by public ignorance and apathy.
But when things actually threaten a majority of people, the dummies wake up fast.
That is California politics in a nutshell.
What? Well, a lot of folks I know who are baby-boomers are saying they want full retirement now, no more working. that means lots of new pension applications and lots more payments in “cash” from a dwindled pot of money. Actuarial rules require the State and local agencies to have certain reserves and rebuild the pension funds.
Soon it will become known that money for illegals is going to come out of public employee pensions. When that happens the political system in California is going to explode..
