I’ve got to refresh my memory about all of this. But as I recall, the Clinton plan to suborn perjury was upset, when we learned there were taped conversations between Linda Tripp and Monica, AND, when we learned there was a dress with smoking gun evidence, which the Clintonistas could not simply dispose of, because it wasn’t in their possession.

The more worldly commentators bemoan the fact that America isn't like France, where M. Mitterrand was buried with both his wife and mistress in attendance.
