We had a few people do that in my area. The more annoying thing that finally died off was at 8 PM everyone should ring bells, bang pots and pans, etc. from your prison, er, front door to show solidarity and unity.

Is was up during Hussein's reign and retired when Trump was elected.

Here we have the nightly gunfire. Typically somebody's house or car getting shot up. Started up about an hour ago. Sometimes it's off & on for an hour or two then quits, other times it's spread out through the night.
