Kentucky worshippers met with nails in road as they defy coronavirus lockdown
NY Post ^ | April 12, 2020 | 4:14pm | Lee Brown

Many — including the defiant pastor, Rev. Jack Roberts — arrived with their plates covered, with officers instead recording their VIN numbers, the paper said.

Even more desperate measures appeared to have been taken to keep the faithful away — with “piles of nails” blocking each entrance, according to photos shared by the Courier Journal.

It was not clear who had left the nails, which were eventually cleared by church volunteers in time for the main arrivals, the paper said.

Kentucky State Police troopers then left large signs on every car left in the church lot, the paper said — accusing those present of “CREATING SCENES OF AN EMERGENCY.”

They noted that everyone in the car owner’s household would be forced to quarantine for 14-days for defying the warning — an order several worshippers told the Courier Journal that they planned to ignore.

The DOJ will have some quality time with the gov & his minions.

The 1st Amendment is kind of a big thing, you know.

There must be something in churches that causes the virus to be dangerous. Conversely, there must be something in Walmart that renders he virus harmless. Otherwise why close churches and let Walmarts remain open? After all, there are delivery services that can make it so no one has the go there. Sorta like what we’re told about online church services.

Thank you doctor Hitler.

I knew some of you people would come up with some well thought out, educated responses.

Why are cars in Walmart parking lots ok? Why aren’t Church parking lots?

Yesterday I posted gently that although I respect those police who risk their lives to protect us from thugs, and they do not have the right to disobey direct orders (as from a leftist mayor in Portland or elsewhere)

——I still wonder if they are putting more aggressiveness and interest into this than others did when Antifa criminals tear gassed a white haired man, beat a man with a heavy bike lock and hit others with wooden boards while police watched with folded arms leaning against a building.

Still hold a grudge. Did they get the license plate numbers of the leftists’ Prius and Smart cars? Or check the latte cafes for guys with bandanas in their pockets? No.

‘Let us remember the mantra that the Law and the Military will be on the side of the Patriots who defy a Government Order to surrender their Weapons.’

yeah, I get a kick out of that notion too...

“Why are cars in Walmart parking lots ok? Why aren’t Church parking lots?”

The story only reports that they held “a packed Easter Sunday service,” which I took to mean people congregated together inside of the Church.

I have no objection to people congregating if they’re isolated inside of their cars and listening to the service over loudspeakers. That seems perfectly reasonable and safe. Ditto with on-line church services, which are even better because no one has to leave their houses.

Something is very wrong in Kentucky

Tennessee and Kentucky have a long common border, very similar demographics, topology, and heritage and yet Tennessee has very stable US state governmental financial statistics, and Kentucky has one of the worst. It has become the Illinois of the South.

And this has been true in TN under
both Democratic and Republican leadership, consistently

Here’s the answer to that: If YOU are so terrified, then by all means STAY HOME.

The 1st Amendment is kind of a big thing, you know.

No bigger than the 2nd, which government, at all levels, have been ignoring for decades.

... and inside every single digit IQ moron who insists on risking other people’s lives by breaking quarantine deserves to be locked up.

How Nazi of you.

It's your responsible to protect yourself. Are you incapable of that?

Why are you buying into the totalitarian lockdown propaganda?

If you are so damned afraid of this virus, then lock yourself in the basement.

The experts don’t know anything. They change their minds more than you change your underwear.

This is (or was) the home of the brave.

Now go hide some place safe.

I notice that you say “deserves to be locked up.” Who is going to do that locking up? Certainly not you. You want other people to exercise your tyranny for you.

I have news for you, the 2nd Amendment provides a nice veto option for such tyrannical abuse.
