Yellowstone isnt even close to an eruption. They know how much erupt-able magma is in the chamber and it isnt even close.

Now the Long Valley Caldera is another matter. The Magma has intruded into the mountains along that valley-the magma is higher than in the valley.

And, volcanism is relatively “recent” in the Long Valley complex. Ash-flow tuffs dated at around 800k yrs ago.
