The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Georgia state Rep. Vernon Jones became the state’s first elected Democrat to throw his support behind the president’s 2020 re-election on Tuesday.
The Democrat described Trump as a transformative figure in politics whose polices have helped black Americans, veterans and farmers, according to the outlet.

Unsurprising for the AJC, the sub head, “State Democrats quickly disown Vernon Jones”, is bigger than the headline.
Also unsurprising is Greg Blustein (D-AJC, 4th Estate) getting a quote from Scott Holcomb. He’s a likely future Dem statewide candidate, maybe governor.
It’s a mighty brave thing for any dem to endorse a Republican, and

Speaking as someone who has to transcribe and, thus, listen to minority Democrats like Sheila Jackson Lee, Al Green, the rodeo clown broad with the cowboy hats, Eleanor Holmes Norton, Clay of Missouri, Neguse of Colorado, Meeks of New York, Pressley, Hank “Guam” Johnson, and John Lewis, I can say they are NOT decent.
Yes, ma’am, you are correct. Many of the people you identify are elected from majority minority districts. They do not face meaningful competition, not even from within their party. They pretty much view society as a store to be looted, like during a so-called race riot. The radical element of the Democrat Party wants to legalize shop-lifting, which merely decriminalizes spontaneous crime. Why not, when they favor the organized crime of redistribution through government. On the other hand, increasing numbers of minorities have socially-conservative values and some are even developing economically-conservative values. They constitute the moderates within the Democrat Party.
