Speech is speech. But there are also consequences. You can’t yell “fire” in a crowded theater. His “speech” indicates he is of unsound mind and a clear and present threat to his patients (who may not know how he really feels about non-politically sane individuals).
Curiously, I don’t think he should be automatically forced out of office for exposing his deranged fascism - since strong political feelings come with being in politics. He should be defeated at the ballot box along with his colleagues that support him. It’s strictly the medical profession part that is of paramount concern to me.
It at most indicates probable cause that he might be of unsound mind. It ought to be looked into by a competent investigative body, some sort of professional board. But “speech” is not enough to get him summarily stripped of a license that must have taken years of hard study and work to obtain. Should Governor Northam lose his license because of his penchant for wearing black face and legalizing baby killing?
