West (by gawd) Virginia may be able to take on some same minded Western counties of Virginia. It’s happened before. Whils you are at it, a few counties need Bristol could join Tennessee

Someone further up said vote accordingly. That’s true. Elections do have consequences. So does public indoctrination of generations of school children.

The DC swamp has expanded into Fairfax County and it is so big that the rest of the state cannot overcome their libtard growth. If you track the state election, Fairfax is always last to report. Sure they are a big County, but they have a lot of polling stations as well. No reason they should not be reporting in a timely manner, except for the Dems wait to see how many votes they need based on most of the rest of the state voting red.

“If the people are passed off enough, he’ll run out of State Police to protect him.”

A very plausible scenario.

alot of R’s stayed home because they would not vote for Corey Stewart. so there’s that, plus all the RATS in NOVA, Richmond and Norfolk area.

I think he’s referring to the police backing the governor in NC against the protestors. NC has a problematic governor as well. Leftist governors dictate in cohesion.

I certainly hope one of the byproducts of Trump’s presidency is getting a better breed of Republicans to start running for office, but that is going to take time for that to bear fruit.

I don’t think it would matter if you had Eisenhower rise up from the grave and run on a ticket. The corruption in elections from the leftists is growing.

Our state legislatures are being left in the dark only to find out last minute what this governor intends to do.

This is exactly what Governor Evers did here in Wisconsin. A week before the APR 7 election, he wished he could change the election date but said he couldn't because it would violate the law. Then on APR 6 he issued an order, without the legislature, postponing the election until JUN. The order was reversed by the WI State Supreme Count. The Gov just doesn't have that power....

This is the best Virginians can do according to the VA constitution, and this isn’t going to happen:

“The Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, judges, members of the State Corporation Commission, and all officers appointed by the Governor or elected by the General Assembly, offending against the Commonwealth by malfeasance in office, corruption, neglect of duty, or other high crime or misdemeanor may be impeached by the House of Delegates and prosecuted before the Senate, which shall have the sole power to try impeachments.”

“Didn’t Trump say at his press conference yesterday that if the governors didn’t listen to him he would overrule them? He also reminded people that his favorite movie is mutiny on the bounty in a tweet.”

Red meat to the base. Trump will issue national CDC guidelines and some things but ultimately governors will decide what happens in their states.

In the Alabama press conference yesterday the MSM asked our governor about Trump’s tweet. She didn’t fall for the bait. She said she will work with the Trump administration etc. She said” “What works in Alabama, works in Alabama. We will work together with the federal government but we want what is best for our citizens.”

So each governor will make the call. In Alabama they are talking about a phased reopening plan that treats urban areas differently than rural. No details yet.

Yes it is. This is part of a plan. I’ve said it since the impeachment fiasco. They are emboldened and increase their power grabs. They’re not afraid of losing the electorate for some reason.

What’s already happening in North Carolina?

Cops shutting down protests because protest has been deemed non-essential.

"Vote accordingly"

Virginia is a one term governor state. Northam is not up for reelection and is acting like he is unchecked in his power grab.

Perhaps we can start petitioning all the Virginia counties’ Election boards to simply hold their vote counts until Richmond, Fairfax, and Hampton/Virginia Beach area release theirs first...? Make them put up all their votes first...even if we have to wait a few weeks over their protestations including the votes from military. Just hold them back like one county did in Wisconsin ensuring a Walker victory as the cheating counties couldn’t come up with enough votes to win...might have been for Supreme court candidate come to think of it).
