Stupid. The <19 year old infection rate is near nil. In Sweden and some other countries K-12 education was one of the areas NOT shut down.
Looks like an ugly custody fight just got uglier. Poor kid.
So when this COVID emergency ends, this order ends immediately(?) or does she have to pay to restore her rights?
“...Dr. Theresa Greene, a doctor in South Florida, previously shared custody of her 4-year-old daughter with her ex-husband, Eric Greene, but a judge granted an emergency order granting him sole custody until the ordeal is over, according to NBC Miami...”
I’ll bet there is a lot more to the story than just what was in the article. I would assume they adults are not on good terms and almost everything they do revolves around the courts.
I do not know the home life in both households. The mother is a hospital worker and is exposed to the virus (maybe) during work. Who watches the child when she is at work? Is the father now working from home for the duration or still going out to work? Who would he have watch the child if he had to go out for work?
You would think the parents would focus on what’s best for the child instead of taking it to the courts.
My nephew is divorced. His ex-wife’s new husband is an ambulance driver who has had some kind of exposure to covid 19.
Therefore, as a precaution, his young kids(5 and 10) have been staying with him for almost a month now.
The ex, of course, agreed to this.
Can we blame the judges for buying into the government-fueled hysteria? Not really.
