(Pennsylvania) Anti shutdown protest planned to take place in front of State Capitol building next week

HARRISBURG, Pa, (WHTM) – On Monday, April, 20th at noon thousands of citizens, led by ReOpen PA, End The Lockdown PA and Pennsylvanians Against Excessive Quarantine, will come together to peacefully protest against lockdown restrictions continuing beyond May 1.

Here is the statement made by the organizers:

“Government mandating sick people to stay home is called quarantine. However, the government mandating healthy citizens to stay home, forcing businesses and churches to close is called tyranny.,” says Pennsylvanians Against Excessive Quarantine. “Business owners are being forced to layoff employees while the unemployment system is failing those laid off as the economy free falls.

This is a recipe for disaster with many in our society helpless. We cannot stand by and watch our neighbors suffer while the government considers prolonging these painful conditions. The economy should be reopened on May 1 for healthy citizens continuing enhanced sanitation habits to prevent any virus from spreading. Those with compromised immune systems should not have to re-enter the economy or workforce if they do not feel comfortable.”

We will have endured nearly seven weeks of lockdown when May 1 arrives. It is not sustainable to continue this lockdown as the economic and societal consequences will be irreversible. Opioid deaths increase 3.6% for every 1% unemployment rises, as child abuse and domestic violence have spiked along with mental health ailments. It is time to roll back these restrictions on May 1.

Protests are beginning to emerge across the country as concerned citizens strive to return the economy to normal. These protests have been peaceful as will this event. We invite the media to cover our protest at the State Capitol Building.

ReOpen Pa, End The Lockdown PA and Pennsylvania Against Excessive Quarantine are organizations formed in the last 5 days with members exceeding 10,000. These groups are not affiliated with any political party, political action group, or any other organization.

I know the PA house voted to RE-open PA, no surprise, along party lines. Now onto the State Senate——they’re buying time because all models have been showing it peaks at 6 weeks. But we’ll see what happens....

Just the beginning. The Mi protesters are being portrayed as a bunch of right wing pro Trump nut jobs of course. Half Whit is saying “she is concerned they will endanger the first responders”. They are showing close ups of some of the crowd violating the safe distance guidelines. the Main protest is the cars surrounding the capital which is total gridlock.

Start planning your overland route because with a week’s heads-up I’m sure they’ll close the Turnpike.

No rumbles in SC that I have heard about but I tend to be very introverted.

I’d rather Henry and the gang put things in Drive. However, L1 or L2 would be ok for a short while.

Shouldn’t they be protesting the White House? The President has claimed he has the ultimate authority on this issue.

Here’s my prediction, and remember you read it here first.

The American public will wait, somewhat impatiently, until 5/1. Virginia and Michigan are already in a twitter but they will begin the protest.

Some Delawareans spoke to the marvelous Chris Coons and he said schools “might” open up in the fall, it will take two years for employment to return to normal, it will be a long time to recover.

THIS IS DELAWARE!!!!

We had 43 people die from this in Delaware! But, ah, listen up ladies and gems, Delaware joined up with New York, Maine a bunch of stupid states with which we have nothing much in common.

It’s all part of the plan.

But....ah yes, my prediction, come May 1 the American people will rise up.

No we won’t take guns and cannons to the street. We will begin mass protests as are fermenting in Michigan and Virginia and soon we will just all do our thing.

WHAT THEY GOING TO ARREST ALL OF US? Do they have enough jails to put those of us who will be in church in them?

These politicos are so full of their powerful selves that we’ve got to stop them.

Don’t tell anybody I predicted such a thing but they will not hold us back.

Just because we were a bit fooled by all this, not to mention with our lives and health threatened constantly over the media, and just because we are good people, doesn’t mean we’re going to remain locked up in our homes for more months on end.

THE POLITICIANS DO NOT OWN US!!!

We’ve got to fight back.

Don’t tell anybody I said this, but it will start next week and percolate on up.

We are the people who carry this country on our backs and we will not sit by and let a bunch of selfish politicos chains us up for life.

An outcome of people told they can’t earn money and must stay at home. Better to protest than starve.
