But even though businesses have been applying for these grants for more than a week, there is no sign that a single dollar has actually gone out the door yet. Unlike the Paycheck Protection Program loans, which are government-backed but made by private banks, the economic disaster program is handled directly by the Small Business Administration.

Once again, we see that when the central-planning authorities act alone via the Fed.gov bureaucracy, jack-shit happens. If they always need private industry to accomplish things - what’s the point of having permanent Fed.gov planners and bureaucrats?

Deposited our PPP check today. We applied on Friday, approved on Monday. Took a week to get the check. Easiest process involving the government ever.
