“The Chinese government announced on March 19th that over 21 million cell phone accounts in China were canceled in the past three months, according to the News NT article. After some increase of cell phone accounts still open in December 2019, when the virus was first detected, the number of open accounts dropped sharply in 2020 as the coronavirus outbreak was raging in China. “Cell phones are an indispensable part of life in China and its only closed when the user is dead,” the intelligence report said, as quoted by NT News.”
The phone users could be dead OR Unemployed. So you can’t use this as an accurate number.
And it also needs to ve put out there that this could have been people finally dropping a second phone line for any number of reasons.
Oddly my cell phone usage has increased during this lock down. I can not go to friends homes and relatives. Thus my cell phone use has increased and not decreased. Why has cell phone usage decreased in China unless the cell phone user is dead?
Thankfully in my great state of Texas we are not in total lock down like liberal states. I do go to my best friends house and drink a little whiskey. I do not go in his home. I bring my own ice and mixer and whiskey. We stay a discreet distance apart outside.
