What evidence is there that a vaccine will work for more than one year, like the current annual flu vaccine?? What a big pharma bonanza. While a vaccine would be helpful, we should also be researching nutritional and low cost medical interventions.

The biggest medical difference between the seasonal flu viruses and the Wuhan Virus is the maturity of the medical responses we have on the former and the immature stage we are at treating the later. There is nothing other than that that is making the Wuhan Virus intrinsically more deadly. As the newness of it fades, the medical response to it matures, and more herd immunity grows, it will be at least no greater a threat than the seasonal flu, with or without a vaccine, and will be no cause to shut down the economy again.
