China’s recent very bad behavior concerning the Wuhan Flu speaks volumes. It now appears that the Chinese allowed the virus to leave China to be spread worldwide while closing off it’s own cities from infection, intentionally.

”The US will hopefully adhere to the adage that there are two countries one never should invade; Russia and China.“

I don’t think we’re ever doing that. We should be at war with the Chinese Communist government, not with their people. Make no mistake, though, we need to get our heads wrapped around the concept that we are truly at war with that government, and realize everything that may require.

Our goal must be to bring their Communist government down and assist the Chinese people with doing it. This would be covert, for obvious reasons, but should also include overt actions to better arm allies in the region to apply pressure on them. It is likely that any severe pressure on them will provoke some kind of military response, including possibly outright war, but it is clear where this is all heading if we don’t stop them cold, and the thought of living in a Communist Chinese-dominated world is more abhorrent than even death.

The millennials have crowed that they want their generation’s “World War II moment.” They mean “climate change”, of course, but the real deal could be just around the corner. Should be “interesting” to see how they hold up.

Kissinger in hindsight was terrible for the USA — he led the way to China ruling and in his support for Pakistan in 1971 he smashed any chance of an alliance for 30 years

Cannot find that info. However, in Nov 2016 he donated $2700 each to Paul Ryan and Nancy Pelosi.

Nixon, with K, worked to open China diplomatically, which was good. Clinton opened US markets to China, which was a disaster.

Who is to blame?

Nixon for going to China?
American companies wanting to save money by exploiting cheap Chinese labor?
American consumers demanding cheap products?
American politicians paid for by the China lobby?
Clinton/Congress granting MFN to China?

Article and comments BUMP! Enemies foreign, enemies domestic. Here we are. The war is in this republic every day, every hour for the rest of our lives. It is asymmetric. In the turn for home the rest pulled up. Down the stretch it is Marx/Mao on the inside, Mohammed on the outside. At the wire Mohammed by a head in The Globalist’s Cup. Hold all ballots. It’s not official.

COVID 19 response is showing a lot more about the Chinese than just this.

The fundamental issue is that the Confucian heavenly order which the CHICOMs seek to impose is run by a new Chines Mandarinate. Like all bureacractic structures, however well ordered, they become corrupt, promote cronies and those who seek power by kowtowing to those above them Therefore it is as all things are, incompetent. We see how incompetent they are by what they have done - screw up and cover up. Now what about the West. There is no argument that the FDA/CDC has shown large streaks of incompetence in responding. But our President is not from within and we elected him to call our agencies to account - to kick ass in our parlance. And we can hold our President accountable and we - the voters are - by telling him what we want done, letting him know where we are unhappy and most importantly supporting him when he is acting in our best interest.

And furthermore being the irreverant insubordinant disorderly mob that Americans are, when things go wrong, we are perfectly happy to fall back on our own resources and creativity, which we have been doing. CDC and FDA cannot produce. Well others can. We have students using 3D printers to make masks and shields. Scrap fabric and sewing machines come out of closets and voila everyone has face masks. Private industry and university researchers are stepping up to massively improve testing and treatments.

When the bureaucracy is not working, we threaten CVII when they try to impede the genius of our country to improvise, innovate and fix the problem through 10,000,000 different trials and errors. Everyone is watching and if something works, it catches on and goes viral.

So our best is coming out. And, the CHICOMS incompetent worst is there for all the world to see, however good they are at trying to subvert us, however devious their ways. They are done in America. And its not being Chinese. The Taiwanese are doing great. It's their version of communism that is doing them in as any effort to hold a people subordinate to top down central planning always is, whether you are Soviet Communist, or Nazi or CHICOM or - that greatest of all oxymoron's Italian Fascist.

We’ll never invade China.

I hope we learned our lesson in Iraq that we are by geography, and national outlook a sea-power, not an Asian land-power. No one would actually chose to be an Asian land-power. It's a horrible existence. Our friends are those around the world we engage with through maritime trade.

Westerners didn’t learn from history. Kissinger et al made the same mistake with China that Teddy Roosevelt did with Japan in the early 20th century. Arrogantly underestimating the “Asian,” thinking that by promise of emoluments and the threat of potential force they could manage and hustle the East into abiding and emulating the west while enabling the west to exploit them commercially. Bad idea. British imperialists found out; and so did we when the favored Japanese became the Pacific rival of the US by the 1930’s.

China has never been interested really in joining the western-defined family of nations. They did for their own reasons beginning in 1978 announce a new “open door “ policy in order to hasten their industrial and commercial development; but they never had any intention of becoming “a responsible partner,” or of adopting the western point of view.
