The guy I hired to buy a truck at auction for me, unwittingly during the Cash for Clunkers, also sold donation cars for local Catholic schools (I donated my old Mazda and he turned it into a useful car for somebody for $1000). After it was all over, he told me that he couldn't BUY a car for under $2,000 much less sell one for $1,000.
