Exactly, however, Trump doesn't want war, he wants fair trade and US jobs.
But if you're China and your goal is domination, then there can't be anything "fair" in your relationships.

So Trump is trying to give China an out -- an escape hatch, let them say Covid-19 was all just an "accident", nothing "on purpose" about it, that's what Trump wants.
The problem is that while the Chinese themselves sealed off Wuhan from the rest of China, they were perfectly happy to let tens of thousands of infected Wuhanese fly around the world to infect other countries!
How is that not an intentional act of war?
But Trump wants to let them off the hook, wants to save his trade deal, wants China to say it's all an accident.
Regardless, the Chi-coms won't, they can't, it's not in their nature, it might mean the end of Chi-comism, and besides, they want the world to know who the real shot-callers are, and it ain't Trump, they think.
Bottom line: Wuhan is China's Chernobyl and should help defeat the Chi-com rulers just as Chernobyl did the old Soviets.
Hopefully just as peacefully, but I wouldn't count on that.
