*Cabrillo* National Monument, Point Loma, San Diego
Never knew the proper term. Awesome!
Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma is one of my favorite national parks. The views are breathtaking.
Agree! The tide pools area has two parking lots that you can park and just watch the ocean. Could sit there for hours!
The kids love to sit and watch the planes taking landing and taking off from the Navy base. Also sometimes you can see the Navy Seals training.
About a year ago I was out there at Cabrillo, it was the time President Trump was having dinner with a Chinese VIP in Mar-a-Lago and Trump announced during dessert that he was bombing Syria. All of a sudden it seemed there was some emergency. The sky was filled with planes, some flying very low with their afterburners all over the San Diego area. We had no idea what was happening but found out an hour later. It was somewhat anxiety producing, not knowing if we had just been attacked or what was going on.
Wow! Interesting experience. I was down in Laguna visiting a friend when Desert Storm was put in motion. The planes flying out of El Toro (now gone) were a sight to behold.
I bet pelicans taste like turkey.
That location is right where Jon Bon Jovi is building his house. Rush is a bit further N.
