Cue Tom Petty and the Won't Back Down music.
Perhaps the critics are right. Perhaps there will be a virus rebound and this will be a total disaster.
We are going to find out.
Go Georgia!
There is zero probability of that happening. Mass lockdowns have never worked anywhere on the planet, least of all in New YorkCity which is the epicenter of coronavirus.
Almost all NewYork coronavirus infections and deaths came AFTER the lockdowns.
The 8 red states that did not have lockdowns also happen to have some of the lowest rates of infections anddeaths.
Here in Connecticut, I had an underground haircut last Saturday.
Read that again:
“underground haircut”
Good for him! Trump is dragging his feet on this. The new crises is the economy and he needs to act as decisively as he did with getting the health care system built up.
The virus is infecting people but most are not dying or going to the hospital. We are now finding out that way more people have been infected then realized before, meaning the death rate is extremely low.
The problem with all of this is that America is getting fed fake corrupt news throughout.
I’ve been wondering if the HVAC in a place like a restaurant could spread the virus. If so, you could be 20 feet from the nearest patron and still get it if they’re infected, simply by breathing in the recirculated air.
I guess we’re experiencing the same thing now walking through a grocery store. I don’t know if there’s a solution to this problem. Maybe virus catching filters if they have them.
I am with Governor Kemp on this one!
I do not know what President Trump is thinking?
The Fed Govt doesn’t have any statutory basis saying that the states have to stay shut down.
So this win goes to the state.
I’ve got $1 that says Georgia reopens and there is no spike in deaths.
Well, the media is playing with words here. Trump politely said he likes Kemp, that ultimately the decisions is up to Kemp as governor, but in his personal opinion, Kemp should be a little more restrictive and maybe wait a bit longer. Kemp defended his decision equally as politely. There is no fight here like the media would like to suggest.
Kemp is the governor so its his call. At least he has the guts to make the call and take responsibility.
Some idiot reporter asked about why Kemp was opening gyms — but gyms are actually ON the phase one list. It was tattoo parlors and hair salons that were not.
Because gyms tend to actually be pretty clean places; people don’t like to get sick, and don’t like other people’s sweat, so most gyms have disinfectant readily avialable, and people wipe down every piece of equipment before AND after use.
Meanwhile, a tattoo is some guy who spends hours stabbing you repeatedly, plenty of risk of transmitting infections, and frankly, maybe not as high on the “importance” list. ALthough a good tattoo parlor is also going to be highly sanitary, to avoid infections because that ruins tattoos.
Perhaps the critics are right. Perhaps there will be a virus rebound and this will be a total disaster.

Rebound to what? This virus was never harmful enough to warrant mass close-downs. Some with few symptoms. Most people are recovering without hospitalization. Hospitalization only for people with underlying conditions, who can be protected without locking everyone else in. The proof has been amply reported here on FR.
Rush was defending Kemp on his show yesterday.
POTUS really raked Kemp in his presser today. Repeated his name over and over. I don’t think they like each other.
