For Catholics maybe, but that's a broad statement.
If it were true, Christians couldn't go a lot of places just because a Church/Priest may not be handy...
Jesus showed/taught that prayer in solitude was better than a pompous, public display...at the Last Supper, He broke bread and poured wine when He said, when you do this, do it in remembrance of me...he wasn't a priest, but one sharing a meal with close friends...religion decided to make it a sacred rite so priests could control it and make themselves indispensable to foster the religion.
Paul said Christ is the Chief High Priest after the order of Melchizedek. The priests of Aaron offered the blood of lambs and cows...the Priest of Melchizedek offered himself as sacrifice as symbolized by the breaking of the bread and wine. Make no mistake about it...Jesus is a priest.
