There is simply no other way to state this.
Nearly everything we’ve been told about models, rates of infection, deaths, and recoveries was inaccurate.
I’m not here to argue that it was malfeasance or ignorance — both are unacceptable. But the one thing that Governor Andrew Cuomo’s stunning announcement made clear on Thursday is that there are some pretty shocking — and what should be — reassuring truths.
Cuomo announced that antibody testing in New York state, which only began four days previous, was already demonstrating that at minimum 13.9% of New Yorkers, had COVID-19 late stage antibodies.
The implication of this is a shockwave to the system.
With a population of 19,540,500 the findings point out that over 2,500,000 New Yorkers had the virus and have recovered. Keep in mind that as of this writing that only 263,000 New Yorkers have currently confirmed cases. Also as of this writing New York has reported 19,543 fatalities.
We’ve been told that the true death rate is 7.4% in New York. We were told there would be hundreds of thousands dead. We were told that this was worse than the flu, which has still recorded more deaths to date in this past flu season—even though the CDC instructed medical personnel to start counting influenza, heart disease, pulmonary, respiratory, drug overdose, and possibly even car crash deaths as COVID-19 deaths.
We were told that we had to upend an economy, go into solitary confinement, and divorce ourselves from normal life because this would rage beyond any previous pandemic. We were told that this virus with 846,000 current confirmed cases was worse than the H1N1 that broke out on Obama’s watch that infected 60,000,000 people. (We were conveniently not told that Obama had authorized $3.7 million U.S. tax dollars to be used at the Wuhan Institute of Virology to utilize corona viruses in bats in 2015 — but that’s yet another deception of omission.)
But none of these “truths” turned out to be so.
The death rate in New York State isn’t 7.4%, it is actually .75%. The recently ended influenza season numbers from the CDC indicate possibly 56,000,000 cases of flu, 740,000 hospitalizations, and 62,000 deaths. Under the current count from the Johns Hopkins Dashboard in this five month stretch CoVid19 has racked up 845,959 confirmed cases, 122,000 hospitalizations and 46,972 deaths.
A couple of other observations are extremely relevant. To begin with the flu — which has no vaccine but rather a randomized version of a shot designed to help develop antibodies to fight the version of the flu that “smart people” *think* will be the primary version that particular year — has remedies that physicians prescribe in primary care on an as needed basis. So we’re not accustomed to thinking that the flu is this deadly killer that all of life must be shut down to prevent. CoVid19 had no known treatments at the beginning of the breakout, and for political reasons—and possibly financially incentivized ones to boot—the most effective treatment for CoVid19 became a political football. Even the supposed “negative” trials that were reported on this past weekend, had cherry picked subjects that were mostly late stage victims of the virus. As Dr. Vladimir Zelenko pointed out on my show this week, doing so created the negative outcomes “purposefully & by design.” When used under a physician’s care, in the primary care basis, and early on after testing or onset of symptoms, the hydroxycholoroquine, azithromycin, & zinc cocktail reduced the rates of deaths and long term infectious stages. Zelenko’s numbers to date: 1,450 patients treated, two deaths, four ventilator cases (all fully recovered,) and all others recovered. Zelenko and other physicians using the treatment are releasing the world’s largest Meta-study to date within the next few days that will examine more than 2,000 confirmed cases.
The antibody numbers from Cuomo also scream one other harsh reality. The virus was in America long before January.
No thanks to the Communist Chinese Party — who bear the sole responsibility for every American who died from CoVid19 — the infection made its way to American sooner than we had believed. With three flights a day from Wuhan to New York’s John F. Kennedy airport alone the virus was being imported faster than understood.
Since going into national lockdown we’ve also failed one other key component of recovery from this virus—herd immunity. We’ve developed not nearly enough of it. For if 2.5 million New Yorkers were able to fight it off without any treatment at all—unaware they even had it—how much more immunity did we miss out on creating by simply sheltering everyone in place?
We are well on our way to a vaccine. We’ve also got a $12 treatment with the hydroxychloroquine cocktail that has smashed Brazil’s fatality rate by 95%.
Most importantly we’ve got millions upon millions of Americans who have been exposed to CoVid19 and who now have the late stage antibodies that demonstrate immunity.
It is time to acknowledge these facts, draw the necessary conclusions they lead us to, make changes for the benefit of the American people (for once), and end this nightmare.
Thank you Governor Cuomo for acknowledging it, now let’s go!
I felt utterly exhausted for 24 hrs and slept most of it. Seriously tired for several days. Fever for several days. Headache for several weeks that nothing would touch. Cough for weeks.
I work about a half hour drive from DFW airport and so we have a lot of international flights and airline employees in the area.
I don’t honestly remember if the sense of smell deal was early or late but I would guess day 3 or 4.
My point is that Covid19 is nowhere near completing its sweep through the population, not with most parts of the country at only 3 or 4%.
Unless you live in certain prisons, or homeless shelters, or ultraorthodox village. Then you might be at 50 to 70% infected/ positive.
And just in time too cuz he was going to have to start taking his previously donated salary.

Same here. I had the WORST cold/flu (?) of my life, starting in early November 2019. Exactly two weeks from the day my husband and I flew back to Connecticut from the San Francisco Bay Area (family wedding).
My husband caught it from me after. Both of us were very sick for at least a month with this "mystery illness". Hubby was wheezing so much (his lungs are normally perfectly healthy, no history of smoking, etc.), I feared he had pneumonia. Also... my husband was doing some consulting work in Quincy, MA at the time. Quincy has a large Chinese population.
This is the problem. Everyone who is sick thinks it is CV without getting tested. NYC death rate went sky high when they began to label every death as CV when they weren’t even testing every death for it. Every death became a “probable” death and was counted as CV. Now I am seeing people here doing the same thing.
If you’re old enough to have “children” near the age of concern, it’s a real Catch-22. You’d like to have your descendants be immune, and if having a “cold” or “the flu” is the price, that sounds great.OTOH if your “children” know people their age who’ve died of it, it ain’t exactly a cold. Or even the flu.
I wonder if there would be such a thing as a two-stage inoculation? One stage to prepare your body for the second, which is more like the real thing and gives immunity.
Alternatively, if you knew that the Trump Cocktail was very effective protection for covid in young people, why wouldn’t you intentionally expose young people who had the Trump Cocktail at full strength in their bodies. And learn to phase out the “cocktail” as needed to get immunity.

I was sick after Thanksgiving, wasn’t too bad. Then I got sick again start of January - worst cough ever, started to worry if it was becoming pneumonia and considered the hospital. Fortunately it got no worse and started to clear a week later.
I have never been sick twice so close together. I truly believe one of these instances was COVID-19.
I’m in Michigan, I’ve not been able to find anywhere that says they perform antibody tests. Am I missing something?

Those of us in data analytics have been saying for some time either the infection rate the Basic Reproduction Number (R0) is wrong or the fatality rate is wrong. This is the 5th study that confirms this, much lower fatality rate 1) First Iceland that randomly tested people in the population then 2) Stanford study of Santa Cruz, 3) USC Study and even yesterday even 4) NY. Governor Andrew Cuomo Cumo said a preliminary survey of New York state residents found that nearly 14% of those tested had antibodies against the novel coronavirus, suggesting that some 2.7 million may already have been infected.
And even Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer said of the USC study, “the study suggests that 0.1 percent to 0.2 percent of people infected by the virus will die, which would make COVID-19 only somewhat more deadly than the seasonal flu”. That finding is consistent with the results of an earlier antibody study in Santa Clara County. “The mortality rate now has dropped a lot,” Ferrer conceded.

The only citation for a 95% reduction in death rate in Brazil is a verbal claim by Dr. Zelenko on McCullough’s program that a few hospitals in Brazil following Zelenko’s protocol have achieved those results.
There are no studies to that effect nor any English language news articles that I can find.
Also Zelenko says a write-up of his and some other doctors results will be published this week. Hasn’t happened yet.
I’m certain that I had it around the same time. I had my flu shot on time and this was not the flu, it had some characteristics of the flu but it was not the flu. I’m signed up for the test and I fall into the risk group as they define it. The testing evidence coming out of CA and other states is showing that this overhyped, flu, and yes it is a milder form of the flu, was around at least from the mid fall time period. It has a 98% recovery/no symptoms rate, or less and that makes it less lethal than the flu. Like it or not, we started this fraud by the traditional and proven method of quarantining the INFECTED, not the healthy. It was then hyped to be more deadly than the 1918 flu which it does not even come close to in comparison. Now, we have a large population who has never been exposed and who will be prime targets of the virus in the coming months. Flattening the curve only stretches the timeline during which infections and deaths will occur.

None of Fauxi or the Scarf’s predictions based on their models have ever been even close to reality. Why believe them at all.
If they were using their models to tell you how to invest your money and were so far off this many times, would you have kept taking their advice?
Their models may just as well predict hurricane paths for the next ten years for all the model results are worth.
Take away the outbreak in the NYC and North Jersey region,the statistics are quite different also. It also shines light on this continuing Flu vs Corona. Both have similarities and can overlap. At this point,I have zero interest in fighting that debate as Corona has turned into a weaponized crisis that has destroyed our nation and people.
Dear Seek and Find, thank you for using mostly accurate numbers. It is reasonable to worry about the economy as long as we use the right numbers. Covid is many times deadlier than flu (I think at least 10 times deadlier), if we make choices knowing the real risk - even if a lot of people die - it’s like war, you now people are going to be killed but you fight anyway.
If you look at the deaths graph on the last page of NYC’s own statistics
You will notice that, for the last week, the “probable” deaths (no positive COVID test) exceed the “confirmed” deaths (had positive COVID test)
With the expansion of testing ability, NYC has NO EXCUSE for not giving each suspected COVID death a test.
NYC is counting lots of non-COVID deaths as COVID deaths.
