A new clinical treatment trial launched Friday and UW Medicine researchers are looking for COVID-19 patients to test the effectiveness of anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine.
UW researchers want to enroll 630 people who currently have the COVID-19 virus.
Researchers say this particular study looks at COVID-19 patients who do not need to go to the hospital yet.
Researchers are testing two combinations. One is hydroxychloroquine. The other is hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin. Researchers are also using a placebo.
UW Medicine is looking for patients in cities nationwide including Boston, Chicago, and New York.

Think about it. If you develop a fever and cough, would you want to wait until you have shortness of breath,pneumonia and a confirmatory COVID-19 test or would you want your primary physician to have the option of prescribing hydroxychloroquine, zithromax and zinc?

You’d think that at least ONE SINGLE instance of these placebo controlled clinical trials would think it worthwhile to split the portion(s) of the trial participants randomly receiving Hydroxychloroquine into two halves. Half would receive Hydroxychloroquine WITH zinc and half would receive a placebo WITHOUT zinc.
Then again maybe they simply don’t WANT to see comparative results of with and without zinc. Piss poor, completely non-curious scientists IMHO.
Based on the clinical experience of Dr. Vladmir Zelenko with his treatment of over 600 patients in NY the key to effective use of HCQ is to include 220mg of zinc for each of the five days. In his research and in collaboration with other experts worldwide the HCQ simply allows the zinc ions to penetrate cell membrane and get to the actual virus structures. The zinc interferes with the replicase enzyme that allows the COVID-19 virus to reproduce inside living cells and spread.
The Z-pack helps by killing secondary bacterial pneumonia infections that opportunistically arise when the lung cell immune system is contaminated by the COVID-19 virus cell damage.
The treatment also must be started within a few days of symptoms or the viral load will damage the lung cells and produce debris which blocks oxygen exchange and leads to intubation.
Just using HCQ may not show significant results.
I thought zinc was used with these drugs - the article does not mention zinc.
I “Zinc” this study is another HCQ denial scam.
Put Dr. Zelenko in charge of a study.
Pay him handsomely. He’s earned it.
HCQ studies that wait until high patent temperatures and mucus filled lungs occur have missed the effective window of the cure used by Dr. Zelenko and thousands of other physicians.
There is a 6 to 10 day window in which to administer the HCQ therapy with antibiotics and Zinc. After that its an iffy proposition.
What’s so complicated about that? A study not designed to recognize that window will always have HCQ being contra-indicated.
Zelenko does NOT wait 5 days for test results before treatment. He makes his diagnosis based on physical indicators rather than waiting for test results. He does the tests but if he concludes the patient positive from physical examination , the therapy begins immediately, In this way Zelenko has a success rate of some 1446 recoveries, 2 intibations , one in ICU and one death due to pre-existing co - morbidity, 1450 patients treated. How can peole second guess that?
Ask yourself. In his recent oval office meeting with President Trump, Why did Governor Cuomo request tens of thousands more doses of HCQ for New York.
All the flack you read against the use of Zelenko’s HCQ therapy is just propaganda. The propaganda is motivated by politics and anti-Semitism. The left and public health mavens are apoplectic over the fact that they cannot dictate what happens in a doctor patient relationship.
I would love to see Dr. Zelenko tour the country teaching physicians exactly how he does it. President Trump should hire him to do so.

I sent a Facebook message to the author asking about zinc. It would really undermine this test if zinc is not included with one of the test groups.

Results expected in July, why so long?
You could recruit 600 people tomorrow, have results in a month, follow up results in another month.
I’ve come to the following conclusion regarding Dr. Zelenko’s work, assuming he’s honestly reporting his results:
Either Covid-19 is nowhere near as deadly as we’ve been led to believe and nearly all of Dr. Zelenko’s patients would have avoided hospitalization even if he had not treated them, or his treatment works to avoid hospitalizations, whether due to a placebo effect or an actual treatment effect
Frankly I don’t care which it is. It’s a no-brainer to keep prescribing his drug combo, particularly in nursing homes, at least until we know for sure whether it’s needed at all. I suspect, though, that we’ll find it works quite well, as some doctors have already been finding on their own.

I would not discount the hydroxychloroquine at all however I have been following information that is coming from around the world of the success physicians are having using high dose IV vitamin C without any side effects.
Its criminal that this life saving information is being suppressed in the media and especially on Facebook.

Just like they tried to inprison Dr. Brezinski numerous times for his CURE of brain cancer primarily in children that had been deemed terminal by mainstream cancer doctors. They never were able to produce anyone that had been harmed while his treatment was a proven success.
The raid on this clinic is is outrageous. I have archived countless studies and reports from Board Certified doctors who are successfully treating Covid19 patients with high dose Vitamine C.
HHS was involved in this. I would lay money that Fauci was involved also.
