Went to a couple “Support the Troops” rallies there back in the era of the Code Pinkos
There was a local FReeper up there organizing. Can’t remember her handle.
Sadly, good people are in the minority all over the country now. What conscience can the leftists have if they know motor voter and illegals mean no election is honest? And same day phony registrations to vote that no one has time to investigate later on?
Then why should we grant leftist Dems ANY tolerance (beyond the strict laws against various actions, of course)?

I helped a little bit in organizing that event. What I did was some email blasts. It was a great day — good vibes. It doesn’t hurt that Ventura Co. is pretty conservative. We lived in Simi Valley at the time.
Simi Valley is conservative, but the rest of the county has been slipping downhill.

During the Carter administration. Don’t recall what it was, but Michigan’s economy was tanking and everyone was leaving.
